XAircraft AHRS V2 - FC1212 P - COMPASS - GPS Not Anymore

Hello everybody
I bought a couple of weeks AHRS V2, FC1212-P, GPS, Compas.
Trying to setup within the Xaircraft center auto-leveling gain, attitude control gain and stick gain to every number, but still vibration or motor with some random power and It flies erratically even with Jeff help (Many thanks), what I get is :

  • First flight : New battery AKE 3S 4050, calibrate AHRS and fly (perfect)
  • Second flight : changing battery AKE 3S 4050, and fly erratically on GPS HOLD mode, switch Return to Home and at this stage everything goes wrong, I lost the quad and crash in the wood.
Searching for 2 hours and nothing at all.... I'm going back tomorrow try find out the QUAD with yellow propellers and try to play with Throttle.... if some power still there.

Hope I can find it, if I'll change / remove the FC Xaircraft (AHRS / FC1212 P / COMPASS / GPS) to something and therefore I need your advise for DJI as they release the NAZA + GPS what do you think about this

Today I'm in very bad mood
Thanks for your replies.
Daniel

Though I was able to find the wreckage every time, return to home is a joke. I am afraid to even think of trying it again, and I lowered the gain for return to home from 50% to 10 %. 30% sent it into the trees, in my oppinion Xaircraft is substandard in just about all of the electronics. Definitly go Naza or Wookong. I have repaired my X-650 for the last time, no more pain for me, I want to have some fun for a change. DJI 550 and Wookong all the way for me next

Good to hear Daniel. I am so glad your finally having the fun your entitled to for a change. I too am looking for some actual fun soon. I got a DJI F-550 with the WKM "Wookong" system. And it comes with a free F-450! Its the kit only, no electronics but still pretty cool. I got a set of extended legs for the 550 and a custom camera mount for my Go Pro camera too. But I am having mine built by a professional who has built 100's of them and about every thing else as well. He's an expert on setting up everything, I sent him my JR-11-X transmitter and a new receiver to install and set up my transmitter the way it should be. I'ts just too frustrating for me at my age any more to deal with some of this stuff, as I heard once.." I just want the baby, not the labor pains" man thats me.

By all means sir, hang a camera on your 450 someplace and send me some picture's of Geneva. Take care...

Hey Daniel, just saw your video, and I'm impressed. Nice and steady flight, and video as well. Plus it looks very nice there, and much better than here in San Antonio Texas thats for sure! As I understand it, the 450 I'm getting is compleate with motors and ESC's just no receiver, nor controller etc. It's 8:15 am Thursday here and I dont know what time it is in Geneva but I see you up and at it on here right now. Now this is not by business, that said are you an American living in Switzerland? I ask this because your command of English is flawless. Honestly, I dont know that most everyone there speaks English. I have always been amazed and very impressed at how so many people all over the world speak English as well as there native language and here most people cant even put the English language to the test with out making a mess of it.
Where I live, I may as well be in Mexico as there are more Mexicans living here than white people regardless of the country they may be from. Of course we have many thousands of illegal Mexicans living here, which is difficult as the crimes they commit are normally violent and theft of anything brightly colored or shiney is every where. Of course not everyone falls into this group, there are lots of Mexican people living here leagally or not that are fine folks for sure, just as in any culture.
It just looks clean and peacefull where you are, as weird as that sounds. Wish I was there! :nevreness: By all means, keep the videos comming. Im embarrased that I will have to get out of town someplace to begin to find anything as nice to look at and it still wont come close.

Hey Warlock
No I'm not American, mother tongue : French but just working and travel within the US for 15 years.
Thank for your comment, I think you can find nice place to shoot near San Antonio...
Living in Switzerland is very cool, good place to stay (as you say many people is coming from different regions so with talk in English), fun in winter (Skiing), Summer with can Sail on the lake.

Hello, yes it is right, we are very international here, and I just discovered that I am flying few kilometers away from Daniel, I will soon prepare a new little video. But you can see this one which was made to learn flying, I went to 115 m. with the X650 last week, just need some editings.

Thanks Daniel, I am in Laconnex "where I live" and at Plan-les.Ouates "Where I work" :nevreness: I discovered Multicopters some times ago and it became my new thing, just love it. Also the great out of it is that when you stop flying the hobby continue with video editing which was also a new experience.

I am using Apple iMovie, very intuitive and easy for novice people like me ! I did another one as well to show how easy it is to fly !

Hi Daniel, Yes I do ! I am in fact the one testing all the multicopters to learn enough to help customer service. Sure we can fly together ! Looks like you are on the other side of Geneva from your movies ?

Wow it has got to be cool to live in Geneva or near it, and work for a company that sells R/C just about everything. Do you need another man there? I can be on the next plane! :nevreness: I'm so glad you two met here, you will bothe have a great time. I looked at the web site, and notice right away that some of the words are in plain English, and others are not. Couuld be I suppose that the Swiss just spell certain words same as English in any case I can use the site pretty well not speaking your language. Gentlemen, I have no words to express how much I wish I could join you and fly out about 1000 batteries. Carry on!

Hello Warlock, thanks for the nice words. Yes English is not our mother language, we speak French here... but anyway you could understand so it is good. Yes it is cool to work for an RC company ! Testing product is great. Today one of my colleague was flying for the first time, he did great with the X450 PRO

And I prepared a small video of my X650 Value 8 when I tried to go a little higher than usual to see how stable it is. The GPS helped a lot since it was windy that day ! If tomorrow morning we have nice weather I will try some batteries.

Wish all of you a nice week-end.

Philippe
