I wanted to tell you about my experience upgrading to A2 Assistant Software v1.4:
You need to back up your configuration BEFORE you upgrade the software or you will lose all your settings. Save the configuration file, update the software, then load in your configuration file. The software is an improvement with a Cruise Control feature!
A bit more mystifying is the fact that right after my Zenmuse 15 gimbal went haywire (noises and strange behavior) - I plugged in the Zenmuse Assistant and upgraded the Firmware and it worked again. So I 'think' they need to be upgraded at the same time.
