Since starting to use 6s 8000mAh batteries on my last two units, I have been planning on upgrading my old 50w AC/DC chrager. The charge time was really long and forcing me to keep my batteries charged a few days before flying. I have as a result lost a good battery. Also as I was charhing in the garage, I was thinking of finding a safer charging station that I can leave my batteries unattended while charging.
I finally got to order parts and build my charging station. The power supply and charger are from HK. The case is a simple steel toolbox from Bunnings and fans are 24v 6mm pc fans. Overall, it cost me shy of $250 and I can now get half an hour charge on my batteries. I can close the lid with battrry inside and the fans are good enough to keep the air moving. Here are a few photos for reference. Will update on the quality of chrgaer and the power supply but reviews are not bad. The charger should be a clone of iCharger 206b. Its build and finish quality are actually impressive.
