500.00 budget - which FPV to get.....

Hi Folks....

I am admittedly a newbie. I would appreciated help on the following. I want to get a quad that has FPV /OSD/ GPS capabilities is reasonably quick and has a decent range...say a mile plus or minus.. I was thinking maybe the Walker 250 advanced? What I don't know is if the stock remote (Devo 7 I think) will display the video feed from the quad. It has a small LCD display, but I don't think that has anything to do with the FPV.....or at least I can't find where it does. Eventually I will get a pair of goggles or an upgraded transmitter, but it's not in the budget right now. This particular quad is not cast in stone, I am open to suggestions if anyone knows of a better one out there for the money that fits the requirements. Thanks folks!! : )

I thought about building, but currently I just don't have the time to do it. I will however at some point in the future do my own build and I will certainly keep your suggestion in mind. Thanks Hoki!

Walkera is an okay machine but I have heard some people have had bad experiences with their customer service. If your not willing to build, which would include buying a radio transmitter then your limited to a package deal that includes a radio which will likely be matched to that multi rotor only. A mile range is an unrealistic number but I'm sure you will find out once you get into it that that kind of range isn't really necessary anyways.

BUILD IT BUILD IT BUILD IT! COME OOOOOOOOOOOOOOON JUST ORDER THE PARTS AND IT SHOULD TAKE LIKE LESS THAN 30 MINUTES TO PUT IT TOGETHER AND EVEN QUICKER IF YOU GET ONE OF THOSE 4 IN 1 ESCs I THINK. I ORDERED ONE OF THOSE 4 IN 1 to put on a tarot mini 250 frame with a cc3d atom and I think those cc3d ones are so easy to set up!

I think you can get the most for your money if yo get the radiolink at9 or at10 from aliexpress or banggood or ebay price around and you should find one forlike 90 dollars which I did. and you can get a small receiver for it the r6d that can do ppm with the cc3d too. get the r6d cause the r9d that comes with it can't do ppm just sbus or whatever.

John....Thanks for your response......I knew a mile wasn't realist OR necessary ......I meant 1 Km. Duhhhh (not a crime to be stupid, but it sure is inconvenient). It's not that I am not willing to build, I would love to, but I really don't have the time (or at this point the knowledge) to do it right (being a newbie, it'll take a lot longer for me). I barely have time to get out and fly the couple I've got, let alone build another one.....but I will build eventually.

Hoki......You're a hoot, I love your passion. When the time is right, I will sit down and build....I promise! : ) For now (for the reasons I explained to John), it's just not practical.

Thank both of you for your support and advice, it is appreciated!

I didn't know a thing and got a kit off ebay and made it quickly. Just watch a youtube video and you'll know how to do it. If you just take 30 min to an hour if you get real confused you'll be a lot happier I think cause you'll get a lot more for the money but if you wanna buy a ready made runner or whatevers for 400 dollars when you could have made it yourself for a fraction of that cost than DO IT! fine! be that way!
