4S Battery

Hey gang,

I have a simple question. What do I need to do, if anything, to switch from a 3s to 4s battery. I know all of my equipment is able to handle 4s (avroto motors, dji wk-m), but I have never used anything other than a 3s for any of my copters. Is there anything that I need to change in the DJI assistant or anything else? I have a 4s 5000 mah battery at home, but have yet to give it a go. I wanted to figure out if anything needed to be updated/calibrated first.

Is there anything thing needs to change with the ESC's? I don't have a programming card for them right now, so I don't want to use a battery once for testing that might change how my normal set up responds.

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks!

I've been flip flopping back and forth. The idea is if you give the motors more volts it makes more rpm and you would use smaller props. However with the f450, i've checked it with the eagle tree logger with 10x4.7 apc and i'm drawing 40 amps total, that's 10 amps a motor. Nothing has to be done but fly it. I notice in the heat of the day (80 and dry) that the motors get a little warm,,,,,,,, but no failures yet.

I have 12v leds and there running a little warm but so far that's all i've seen,,,, 200+ flights both 3s and 4s
