1x large 2x small prop motor Tri-copter

Hi, EDIT:

I read that less propellers on a multicopter is more efficient, so I am going to make a 1x large and 2x small motors, the small ones are for steering mostly, for an efficiency test.

I am using (3506Q 530KV) with 13 x 4.5 props.

any ideas welcome please.

Hi,

[I'm trying to find the most efficient prop for this motor.]

I did a lift test with the 3506Q 530KV plus a Hobbyking 18/20A ESC and 13.5l prop. It lifted 690Gm. On checking the ESC temperature, it was cool. The recommended ESC for this motor is 30Amp. I thought that the ESC coolness was because the prop was too small, so I tried 14X4.7 with a wider chord. This lifted very slightly more, and the ESC temp was warm.

EDIT: With the 13x4.5l the current is 7.5 With the 14x4.6 (wide chord) current 7.75. I'm surprised there is so little difference!

Does this tell me anything?
