Poll: Are you a commercial/professional, prosumer or consumer level user of Drones/UAV's?

I like it for FPV and sometimes when my son comes over we rip around the local field together using FPV. A lt of fun and his little 250 can really take a beating. So 1.3 ghz is better for FPV and here I thought 5.8 was the best why is 1.3 better?

    Cameras transmitters and heat question.

Tried the 250 for an hour and that looks like my answer both the transmitter and camera got warm but not too hot so I think that will work. Thanks for your help!

    Cameras transmitters and heat question.

I'll go and try that I'm on my way to my little hobby building/repair shed now and let it run while I do some other stuff.

    Cameras transmitters and heat question.

The camera does create some of its own heat so it may warm things up but I believe you are right about it not being an issue because they come in an enclosed case. Yes the transmitter gets pretty warm and I was sitting here thinking how can I overcome that problem. I think what I can do is build...

    Cameras transmitters and heat question.

Totally not related to quads but that is where my Fat Shark camera equipment was taken from. I'm in the process of building Charon the Ferryman of the River Styx and want to place a camera in his head. His head will turn and tip up and down with red LED lights for eyes but it is also covered...

What's a good night vision camera?

Where I live there has been a couple of times where nasty people on the run hide out in the school yard behind my place or drunken parties occur. A couple of months ago there was a major police presence and they searched the area all around for a couple of hours and finally found one of the...

    Naza-M V1 upgrade to V2

I've had the V1 and I've had the V2, yes the V2 has more features but I found it more quirky than the V1. I bought another V1 and will stay with the quad configuration because the V1 acts poorly with a hex with six legs but great with a hex with three legs as you see in this video...

DJI 450 with Naza lite does weight make a difference in stability

This is how the batteries are now, it flies the same, is more stable in wind and descends without the bad rocking side to side, a very large improvement by hanging the batteries underneath.

DJI 450 with Naza lite does weight make a difference in stability

I read the article and it was a long read with some interesting points. In the application I have I believe the low CG will help with stability because I'm looking more at it's stability during hover as opposed to agility in flight. I only travel quickly when moving from one location to another...

DJI 450 with Naza lite does weight make a difference in stability

Funny I didn't notice But 2lbs 16oz is three pounds unless the scale is reading in tenths in metric it was 1.11kg which to me translates to a little over 2.2 pounds. Regardless the weight is fully loaded and I think CG may play the biggest part I'll check that out today. I see you point about...

DJI 450 with Naza lite does weight make a difference in stability

Props are balanced, as far as hanging it from centre the GPS puck is there and that may be a little tricky. I could however place my scale under each leg and weigh them to see which one weighs more. Worth a try that may work.

DJI 450 with Naza lite does weight make a difference in stability

DJI 450 with Naza lite does weight make a difference in stability

It's all DJI motors and 18 amp ESC the only thing non DJI is the batteries, receiver, props and chopsticks. I did weigh it in the past and it was under maximum weight the props are 9 inch fairly flexible ones and it will hover at 50% throttle it won't hover at 50% with the stock eight inch props.
