I used to run RCtimer props, but they are way too easy to bend and create tons of vibrations. (too soft, not stiff enough).
I prefer T-Motors props (super expensive), wooden XOAR props, or the DYS CF props (but they only have 1555 max props)
6S = 1855. Larger props (assuming motors and battery can take it) will provide more lift and in many case can provide longer flight time as well as more stability.
There are many many different quality in "clone" blades.
I found that RCtimer CF props are extremely soft and need a lot of balancing.
Maytech props are nice, fairly rigid and require little balancing
DYS props are the best of the clones. Very rigid, very nice finish, require very little...
Depends on which you got, but most of them are pre-programmed to work as you described. Throttle calibration is a must though as each radio is different.
Looks nice, but the travel distance is too much in my opinion. It seems to be over 90° which would be hard to fit legs on...
Also you're paying for a lot of extra hardware you don't need.
How about something like this?

I'm not a fan of HK though, is there any other company that makes them?
The RCTiger one has way better bearings, uses way better material, probably has a way better soldering job, and the screw holes are probably lined up and tapped better.
But why such a HUGE motor? There are better alternatives. That motor is very job specific. Think about it: 240g PER motor...
There are tons to choose from.
I own about 15 different brands of batteries for all kind of purposes and the nanotech have been the worst by far.
Thunder Power, Dinogy, Desire Power, Pulse Ultra, and many other are really nice ones.
Also get some real batteries, not Crappy Nanotech which are the worst at sustained voltage, capacity versus weight and lifespan. On real batteries compared to these crap, you can save anywhere from 50g to 400g per battery!
I've owned everything Spektrum since the dx6 except the dx10t and I love them. I'm now flying the DX18 and it's a real beauty as well as extremely well done and powerful.
For what you want to do, the DX9 is a really good choice, but as the guys mentioned here, the Jeti is probably the top of...
