Longest Range, Longest Flight Life, Highest Def

I sent Vulcan a private message yesterday enquiring about their farming platform. I've got this crazy idea in my head that I can support the farming community here in the Eastern Panhandle of WV, Northern Virginia, and Marlyland. Personally, I have no farming experience, but I do have a very...

Longest Range, Longest Flight Life, Highest Def

Wow, you have some very specialized high end product offerings. My wife and I recently relocated to an area about 50 miles west of Washington, DC. It's basically nothing but farms and vineyards out this way. The one product that caught my eye is your crop monitor offering. I'm not aware of...

Longest Range, Longest Flight Life, Highest Def

How are companies like Amazon going to get the flight times needed to offer delivery service. Good point about being a floater and not handling very well. I feel like I'm still at the mercy of the current battery technology.

Longest Range, Longest Flight Life, Highest Def

I currently own a Phantom 3 Pro. I live out in hills of West Virginia and I have plenty of space around me to fly (lucky me). I took a look at the specs on that machine. It looks awesome. I have a machine that I built using a modified Tarot T18. It has T motor U7 v2.0 420kv motors, 18 in...

As the threads topic suggests, which drone in production has the longest range, longest flight time, with the highest definition aerial capture capability?

    Here's the plan

oh hey Bart, so the geometric center is determined not by the position of the arm but rather by finding the intersection of CCW and CW axes (the imaginary lines that should cross near the center hub) ?

    Here's the plan

I have a Tarot T18 frame laying around that is missing an arm. I want to convert it to a dead cat configuration with 55 degrees off the x axis front and 45 degrees in the back. See the attached photo for how I think it should be reconfigured. Assuming that the feedback that I get suggest...

    5 minutes, wobble begins, then....

I just found a problem with my configuration, I had the A2 configured for Octo instead of Hex. It was just something that I overlooked apparently. I have no idea how the thing flew as good as it did with the wrong configuration.

    5 minutes, wobble begins, then....

The IMU orientation was pointed towards the front of the craft, it was aligned perfectly inside the outline etched onto the center-chassis bottom plate. The assistant software confirmed that the orientation was correct. I'm confusing manual with ATTI, I do take off in ATTI mode on my F550...

    5 minutes, wobble begins, then....

Good catch. During the preflight, prior to arming, I was able to verify zero lights flashing while set to manual mode, and when I switched to GPS/ATI mode the led would flash 1 red light or no lights. The compass was calibrated. Also I had the ground station running and there were no alerts...

    5 minutes, wobble begins, then....

I considered the transmitter after the crash and looked at all of the switches and the gain setting dials. I didn't check the battery since it was a freshly charged 2S. I think that I'm done with building anything of this size on my own at this point. Is there a log or something somewhere...

    5 minutes, wobble begins, then....

I should have also mentioned that I started off in manual, then switch to ATI shortly after take off, then switched to GPS/ATI towards the end of the flight when all hell broke lose.

Hello, This is my first real post here after lurking for awhile and reading a lot of the advice given here. You all seem like a friendly bunch so here goes..... I recently purchased a barebones DJI S900 setup and paired it with a DJI A2 purchased separately a few months back. My transmitter...

    NazaMv2 motors won't start

I had an issue similar to this. If I recall correctly it had to do with the usb connection. I had to unplug the usb cable from the FC prior to trying to arm.

    Hello from NJ

Howdy Gang. My name is Frank. I live in southern NJ, not far from the FAA Tech Center. I'm fairly new to multi-rotors. I found this site while doing research about flight controllers. I've also enjoyed photography for several years and multi-rotors are a natural next step.
