I was telling someone else in another thread about the Lockheed FC and the video was showing that it primary goal and uses seem to be on gear toward commercial and police / military uses not hobby. That FC probably cost an arm and leg. Bill

I believe all the big MR manufacturers contract out coders for their FC too. It allow the products out quicker for mass market. R&D is too costly to establish and eat up time and profits for hobby needs since their primary sales and profits is from hobby uses not commercial uses. There no laws...

If you are flying at $10,000 copter with a $10,000 camera on it then surely you can afford to contract out to someone with a master or PhD in Computer Science to create a custom firmware specifically for your needs. I am not talking about them 20-45 years old geeks that work at Taco Bell and...

I think you missed the point. I wasn't taking about hiring someone to pilot your MR but creating a FC firmware to specifically for your needs. Just like hiring someone to do website for your business because not every website is the same but designed specifically for your business needs. Or...

Because this is a new world so I would think the best way to go is to hire someone with a Computer Science degree and use one of those FC with open source firmware and keep them close to you on the job site at all time. Bill

    Tarot 680PRO build log

Howdy everyone!, I am new to the MR game but not to the R/C since I have owned RC planes (gas powered) and cars (NiCd) in the past. Been following this forum closely so I thought it time I make myself known and say howdy to everyone here. I know it seem going to a Tarot 380PRO is a big jump...

    Battery Connections

Lot of folks are saying Anderson Powerpole are the way to go. I brought a couple of Anderson Powerpole but I haven't gotten around to swapping out the connectors to try it out. It seem to be a nicely designed connectors and you can even snap the two together to make a dual connector. There...

    Question about ESC and FC

Do the ESC have to be purchased specifically for the FC you plan to use in MR? I am thinking about purchasing a ARF F550 kits. I notice that comes with a DJI ESC and motors but I am want to use Pixhawk FC . Will it be compatible or I must get a Naza FC? I rather use Pixhawk FC because I...

    solar panelled quadcopter

I believe the nanosolar which have a higher output efficiency, lightweight and flexible become widely available, it possible get longer flight time from nanosolar feeding to a MR battery giving it an extra time before it exhausted but I doubt we will ever see a MR run entirely off solar alone...
