Seriously, just install CCTV with IR cameras. It can then even record while you're out. I've heard lots of reasons / excuses to want a drone, but CCTV would probably be cheaper, more effective, more reliable and can work even when noises don't happen and you are still asleep!

TBH it's one of the only things that's making me hesitate too. My guess is keeping it to (below) 7kg is going to mean big compromises.

Ed, thanks very much for your posts on this. I'm at the point of trying to decide not only the S900 vs S1000 but also A2 vs WKM. I read a lot on this and other boards about A2 problems. Do you have any doubts in your mind about flying with the A2 vs WKM at this time?

Long time no speak tikigod19! I'm also waiting with bated breath about the weight. I'm not bothered about the ground station, so that's something to come off, but keeping it to below 7K would be awesome.

That was my thinking too. Shorter flight times are not that big a deal, as long as they're not 'too' short ;)

Is that 21 pounds AUW? 7KG would be 15.5lbs, so yes, we'd need to save 6lbs. That's a lot to find, plus the GH4 is a little heavier than the BMPCC too :(.

Ditto. That's pretty good pricing compared to the S1000 I've been looking at. Hmmm.... food for thought. The only one I found was a GH3 gimbal but I guess I just need to look further.

Perhaps you can understand the confusion when you are recommending 5.26 and others here say don't trust anything above 5.20 :( There doesn't seem to be any consistency. I guess that's the internet for you ;)

Thanks. also had a lot chat with Carapau today and he's definitely put me off the A2 as well. Looks like the Wookong is the right way to go. I very much appreciate the feedback guys! Also, I think the GH4 is the way to go too.
