    WKM waypoint HEIGHT OFFSET

Before anything else, I'd better say that I've not flown any GS missions yet, I'm just trying to get to grips with it and like a lot of other people it seems, the ambiguity in the manual makes me nervous. From the Manual, it seems that the altitude offset value is only used in the on-screen...

DJI released its brand new 3-axis gimbal stabilization system, the Zenmuse Z15-BMPCC

My Z15 BMPCC arrived with me last night. Just had a chance to get the basics together before heading home for the night but it looks good. Roll and Tilt are now end-stopped, so only continuous rotation on Pan axis. Trying to work out how to get it linked up to my AVL58 now. I'll post some more...

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

Have just read your post again wizprod and noticed you're talking about 360 servo. Missed that when I read it the first time. Please ignore my post if I missed the point entirely. I'll leave it up just in case it's useful to anyone else though. "Read twice, comment once" as me ol' granddad used...

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

Not really, you just have to set the limits twice. For the stabilization limits you set the ATV values on the servo tabs, and for stick limits you set the ATV values on the functions tab. Having two sets of limits is actually very useful. For example: If you set your lower nick limit for the...

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

Jesper: have you tried playing with the Expo setting on your transmitter to see if that dampens down the pan at the ends of travel?

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

We'd already registered as one of the first 200 but I'd been waiting for an email from you before sending the picloc back... Will send you an email now.

George, I remember you saying wait for the starters pistol before sending back piclocs for the upgrade. Did I miss it or is everyone just exceptionally keen?

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

I agree completely about the need for some documentation. I know the subject has come up before, and I appreciate that George is busy developing the product, but if there were some documentation then it would answer a lot of repeat questions and free up George's time to deal with more important...

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

Okay, I tweaked the settings to be as follows for both the roll and tilt: D Gain: Initially at 40, I upped to around 100 I Gain: 0 The P gains are both where they need top be to keep the camera plate level at both ends of travel. Here's the result: It seems pretty much the same... Any ideas?

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

Hi George, thanks for the response. I'm using pots, so I'll tweak the settings and let you know how it works. I've heard about the idea of mounting the picloc on the camera tray. Does this offer any advantages over mounting to the chassis?

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

Hello fellow Picloc-ers. I've been following this thread for some time now while I've been setting up my octocopter and now I need to ask for your help directly. I have a Picloc 3X Pro which I have mounted on an AV200 gimbal which I've upgraded with 1001copters' pot & gear kit. The servos are...

Gaui Gaui 500x fall down - maybe overload?

I finally got time to modify the motor cowls and get my nice, new Axis onto my 500X. In the end I went with just drilling a hole in the side of the motor cowl for the Axi motor leads and mounting the motors at 90° using the existing holes. The frame is now the only part of my setup that's...

Gaui Gaui 500x fall down - maybe overload?

Ah, okay, that doesn't have the option to change any COG settings so ignore what I said about that. However, the COG will still play a part in affecting stability. You need to find the COG and place the flight controller as close to it as possible. It that's not possible, you can try to shift...

Gaui Gaui 500x fall down - maybe overload?

It shouldn't be a C rating issue if you've got 25C batteries. What flight controller are you using? Is it the GU-344?

Gaui Gaui 500x fall down - maybe overload?

My Axi motors have just arrived, and they certainly feel much nicer than the Gaui motors. Only problem is that the cables on the AXI motors exit at 90° to the Gaui motors, so it's not just a straight swap. I'm going to have to adapt the motor cowls after all.

Gaui Gaui 500x fall down - maybe overload?

Hi Airbat. Did you re-do your center-of-gravity settings after you added and removed your camera rigs? The first time I put a camera on I forgot to do this and it behaved really strangely. After re-measuring the COG, updating the settings and then doing a re-cal it was fine ...except for the...

Gaui Gaui 500x fall down - maybe overload?

I've just had pretty much the same problem: she'd drop out of the sky after about 4.5 mins, always towards prop 3 and motors burning hot for a good 5-10 mins after shutting down. I upgraded my ESCs to 30 Amp Hobbywing Pentiums and all was well until I added a camera gimbal and an extra battery...
