KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

its hard to really know without some test, kloners vid looked good though, the 475's is what i would go with personally.

    How do I determine payload?

some believe at a slightly higher hover point the craft will handle better at least for dji flight controllers, its called disc loading--bartman was taking about this in previous post in regards to higher the 50% hover point. my personal experience w/ my 450 lead me to beleive that there may be...

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

yeh-those 475 on paper look to be more efficient even though they way 25 grams more per motor, kloner seen that flight vid on fpvlab, those motors had some low amp draw on that disco..looked good

    How do I determine payload?

adanac--theres no indication he's lifting that at 50% throttle he's probably 60% ish w/ those props if i had to guess. people's hover point depends on their build it may or may not be at 50%. you could build a craft that hover at 80% throttle and it will fly its just people like 50% incase...

Airsight 4: A Strong Shouldered Quad

i seen some cinestar quad on quadrocopters video's a while back. i think it was someone that worked their but it looked pretty awesome. l i'll' try to find the vid. here it is https://vimeo.com/91771759. seen your other heavy lift builds-nice! if you have spare frames/booms around a...

    How do I determine payload?

nice quad sleepyc! i'm liking those vulcan frames, nice clean designs and frames are light ..sorry off topic but yeah i too only look at 50% thrust values on spec sheets and work from there i like room if a motor goes to stay afloat.

Airsight 4: A Strong Shouldered Quad

steve, the above 50% throttle in atti and gps modes when taking off is normal, i believe they call it "auto take off" after you lift in atti/gps the throttle will act normal. you could also take off in manual mode which will be normal throttle response. when you switch to manual on the...

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

av8chuck, if you know your auw, you can reference the amp draw figures on the kde spec sheets for your prop size and voltage your using to predict hover time. take your auw in grams-to make it easy then divide by number of motors. this is the amount of thrust per motor you need to make your...

    DJI S800 yaws in flight

there been a few s800 evo owners that have experienced and reported this problem. the theory is that under high throttle like fast forward flight the motors are almost peaked out with not much available power or thrust left and even though in atti/gps the fc limits the throttle to less then...

bummer for sure!! Droider is one of the very few guys i ever asked questions to and trusted his answers. seems like a dji big brother thing even if it isn't.

    A2 2.2 Upgrade Guinea Pig

Droider--when that drift occurred in your vid i was afraid it was going to lead to a lockout. from the vids i seen of crashes the past week on 2.2-first version they start to drift then lockout and pitch themselves into the ground. good thing you caught it! your tests help us no doubt thats...

    A2 2.2 Upgrade Guinea Pig

to keep this thread going-i guess dji did a "minor" update on 2.2 least week...you need to downgrade to 2.1` then upgrade back to 2.2 for it to take effect. you can read about it here..http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1982087&page=100
