Boca bearings upgrades for Tiger(Avroto) motors.

As jes1111 said, EZOs are made in Japan stuff and they are as go as you can get for this kind of application. I also doubt it that Tiger EZOs are fake. Of course there are better like ceramic, but for sure the flight time will be the same ;-) However there is one thing to take in consideration...

    av200 vibration

Unbalanced props make mainly horizontal vibration, resulting in jello effect on the footage, but the footage shows some vertical oscillation and no jello at all. I say its the CG of camera to far on the front front making the camera plate to bent and oscillate. A picture of the built will help.

    WK-M GPS/Compass

Since the Compass/GPS is sensitive to magnetic fields, is a bad idea to mount it near LIPO, ESCs and high current cables.

    av200 vibration

I have seen the video. Seem like a tilt problem. I think Center of Gravity is to far in front making the camera plate to bent and oscillate. Try to move camera 1-2 cm backwards. Do you have a picture of your built?

    av200 vibration

Why do you think is a AV200 problem, did you had another camera mount before that worked well?

    Proposed build.

Just don't totally rely on eCalc. I have seen the a lot of people here considering eCalc the bible of building multirotors and arguing about facts they found on eCalc. eCalc is really nice, however is far from being perfect for power source calculations. It does not take in consideration a few...

    Trouble with APC 13X6.5

Jes1111, thanks for watching :-) The anti-grommets and gel dumpers idea came after i have seen a gel dumper pad on a snare drum. The grommets are there for the radial vibration of props. The SF prop came after reading a university study about prop elasticity role on multirotor designs.

    Trouble with APC 13X6.5

Iconflyer, AUW on that test is 6200g but that configuration lifts 8000g when i put the camera stabilization and the second LIPO. Engine are KW4 Pro with 12x3.6 APC SFs. Camera is 7D. The airframe is still under development. You will get a email when the final specs will be released.

    Trouble with APC 13X6.5

Jes1111, you are right, but there are a few different kinds of vibration induced by props. The vibration caused by unbalanced prop are higher on the equatorial plane of the prop, making the bearings to wear faster. This vibration have high frequency equivalent with the rpm of engine and...

    Trouble with APC 13X6.5

Hmm, i don't think rocketing up and flipping had anything to do with propellers size, it sound more like setting the IMU 180 degrees in wrong direction. The 14" APC SFs are definitely to big for 2814/22, that's why the motors went hot. Indeed 9 Amps are half the current load for 2814/22. How did...

    Trouble with APC 13X6.5

Yes, that's the reason for changing the ball bearings, sorry if i was cryptic about it :-) I would say 14" props on 2814/22 is not a good match, too big. Props too big will cause 2 main problems: 1. power needed to spin them is bigger> higher current > warm motors and ESCs and will dry your...

    Trouble with APC 13X6.5

I would not underestimate the APC SFs. The reason why even Droidworx suggest these props for heavy lifters is very simple. This props are elastic and bent in the turbulence, absorbing the shock. Use them at the right speed and size this props are doing a very good job, better then using a wood...

    1. Quanum http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__10343__Quanum_2_4Ghz_Telemetry_System_Volt_Amp_Temp_mAh_V2.html Very nice standalone solution that support up to 100 A current. Also the cheapest! The current and temperature sensor is sold separately. Might take a while until you will...

    Low voltage protection

"Line loss" setting is to small. You should put about 0.1V per cell, that's 0.3V for 3S (assuming your battery is new, for older batteries this value will increase) "No Load" settings looks ok. You may try different "No Load" values for first level protection, until you get about 30 seconds...

    Trouble with APC 13X6.5

Shorter arms are always better when comes to vibrations. I would put the engine as close is possible to center and have about 1 cm clearance between propellers, less than one 1cm may allow a propeller strike if the arms are weak.

    Low voltage protection

No. It's normal for LIPOs to go under 3.3V under load. That's actually why DJI introduced the line loss in the equation, to compensate between ON LOAD and NO LOAD voltage readings. It could be bad to go with LIPOs under 3.3V when you measure this value after flight when is no load on the LIPO...
