Tau Labs OP CC Receiver drops off during Input Calibration

That's odd. Are you able to try another transmitter/rx combo?

    Deans or not?

Many prefer the xt60s http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9572__Nylon_XT60_Connectors_Male_Female_5_pairs_GENUINE.html I'm sure someone with chime in with another good alternative.

    It's contest time again!!

I vote for Halloween themed but if it ends up being a goal oriented contest i.e. laps like the last one the winner or finalists should be determined based on achieving the goal and not on a popularity vote. So if it's a popularity vote, make it fun, if it's goal oriented base it on skill.

    Xoar PJN Electric 12x5 props

I didn't have a chance to really try them out, the craft they were going on had some issues, bad ESCs I think (liked the way they sounded, and felt there was no way they were going to break at the base mid air like others). I'll be completing a build using them this week (10" xoar). I'm on the...

Improving piloting skills, keeping orientation etc.

You basically have to train yourself that you are controlling it as if you looking out of it, but of coarse you are looking at it. Once you brain gets this progress is quick. I find as long as the copter is moving no problem, as soon as it's stationary I sometimes forget. I've learned on Helis...

    Anyone knows OrangeRx Satellite Receiver?

I've used the orange receiver with and without satellite and am happy. So far just a close couple flights (still tweaking) with only an orange satellite connected directly to a coptercontrol and no issues. I'll be flying it quite a bit over the next week if all goes well and will report back if...

    Anyone knows OrangeRx Satellite Receiver?

I've had really good experiences with them. You can get them a little cheaper through hobby king (there they have a higher channel version that you can plug 2 satellites in). Never had glitches but have only flown them on multicopters and not with autonomous flight, i.e. no long distance/high...

Beyond the Hover! Contest voting is OPEN!!

I thought it would be interesting to figure out how many innocent props were destroyed in this contest. I killed 9. Also looks like I need some blatant self promotion. **Vote for FlyEYE, Posted the 1st videos and had the highest lap count**

    Multirotor Tricks

Ok so it's clear if you use any term that's a Heli term we're going to be educated :) I don't quite like pendulum since that's more of an arch. The rubberband? BTW can you do flips in stabilized mode on a CC? Turn angle limits up to 360?

    Multirotor Tricks

Just posted some short video I took this morning from my camera phone balance on the ground. These are a little sloppy, occasionally I can get them to stay in the same plan for several "laps". After looking at the video, I guess I don't really do bowties or the infinity but that could be an...

    Multirotor Tricks

I did put tic tocks in quotes :). I try them all the time, you've got to quickly roll your craft 180 before powering back the other way. Still looks impressive.

    Multirotor Tricks

I started this thread to discuss the type of tricks you can do with a multirotor and how to do those tricks. Would be nice to have videos of them as well. I.e. (making some of these terms up) -Flips (front flips, side flips, multiflips) -_needs name___ (going back and forth as fast as you can)...

4 of 8 Axi motors Loose ? to worry ?

I had the same question here a while back and will confirm what Bart said. You probably won't find much to service. In my case it was simple how far the shaft was pressed in. A bit of inconsistency between motors.

1st Time MK Waypoint Flying How/To Tips

You can tell the MK which direction to point (360 degrees) at the way points and if I remember right you can have it point in the direction of other waypoints so you aren't limited to just pointing in the direction of the POI. There is only 1 POI however. Also, you can set the height you want...
