For some reason tricopter flight has somehow eluded me. I do have a tricopter but I've never managed to get it to fly, not that it really matters I suppose - just that tricopters are a slightly different animal to all the others I think. :)

I filmed this footbridge over the river in York and nearby houses yesterday. I'm still a bit nervous flying over water after losing a drone in a lake last summer. :)

Nice film TommyzT. I managed to get out yesterday for first time in ages due to weather. This film was mostly to get my friend's house in, but I was also testing a 1.2Ghz Fatshark setup I put together. It's a MK Hexa XL with Hoverfly Pro (no GPS).

Has anyone got any good results with this camera mount yet? I'm struggling with mine a bit because the structure of the mount seems to wobble a bit. I tried gluing all the connections in the frame but it still has an inherant wobble.

This has got me thinking of all kinds of lunatic-style things I could do while getting myself in a shot flying a hexacopter.

You should not be forcing the servos to move with pliers for a start. :) Are you sure you're putting the wires in the right place? Are you powering the camera mount separately or just plugging it into the Wookong? You migt blow your wookong if you're doing the latter.

Beautiful video, wish we had proper snow sometimes. I think it would be more dramatic at the sound beat break at 46 seconds though if you cut to one of your higher altitude shots that you have later on. P.S. That house is totally awesome.

I think what Bartman says about keeping everything as rigid as possible, well totally rigid, is 99% of the answer. If you hold your machine up and wobble it, shake it about, does the camera mount stay rigid with the rest of the frame or does it sort of wobble independently? Are there perceptible...

googluckbuy.com is actually pretty famous I think and I know people who have bought stuff from them with no problems. I must admit though that I did wonder myself if the name was bitterly ironic when I first saw it. :)

I agree, same with Nettraptor's video too, it looks so walm and calm and the light quality is brilliant.

There aren't really any vibrations, most of the time in this video it was my crappy old (8 years) camera which keeps refocusing and going blurred in places. Having said that, I never balanced the props so that would help. I'll make a better video during the day with a better camera.

Oh, I haven't got the Hoverfly up and running yet, realized I need a BEC for the camera mount and a receiver. The above video is using my Wookong quad.

I made this spooky night time video using this camera mount. I will make another during the day soon. Anyway, I do like the camera mount and I think I will buy another one, I added some glue in parts to make it stiffer but it's very good for the price I think - much better than a lot of others...

I wrote to them last night. I'll wait a couple of days and see what happens. I just did a nice little night test flight anyway without the voltage monitor, using a lipo buzzer alarm instead.

Thanks I tried that, didn't work. I assume where you write Connect the 5 s, you meant 4 s? And when you say Reset unit firmware you mean press update again? The only way I can get rid of PMU ERR is to turn off voltage monitor.

Ok, thanks. I just tried redoing it all again but I can't make it not do the PMU ERR. The red 2nd level warning flashes all the time too with a 4 cell battery in, even though I know it's fully charged. I'm balancing the batteries now, just in case that is the problem. Nope, that didn't work...
