Really wanted to shoot this with the MR but was unable too. Did the next best thing available to me, friends on rooftops and scooters. THought the road cyclist in the crowd might want to see....again, not from a MR. I realize a bit off topic but nones the less sort of aerial :)

Welcome...seems to be a bunch of us Colorado folks flying multi-rotors. Im in your neck of the woods, at least twice a winter ski racing with the kiddos. Perhaps we get together and fly this winter. Whatcha flying or thinking about flying?

Brett - so you are saying that in atti mode, doesnt matter what you do to right stick, if throttle at 50% - you think it should maintain altitude? I am fairly new to MR but I find that is not case. If you change one flight parameter it is going to affect another. Heck maybe I am completely wrong...

kloner are you going to make integrate one of these cases into your fpv setup? mount 16" monitor and stuff inside case, open case, mount case on tripod and fly? after our talks last week, i ended up doing that very thing. bit smaller scale though, 10" haier. kind of proud how it turned out. also...

hard to really know, but i can tell you, if you are timid with the throttle leaving the ground, it wont come straight up. need to kind of goose it. let go of the carb :) i certainly dont want to give you any bad advice so hopefully kloner will chime in.

basic flight. if you lean the quad over to go forward you are losing some lift in order to move forward, hence you need more throttle to maintain same altitude. Attitude mode doesnt have anything todo with maintaining altitude. Maintaining the same altitude at half throttle refers to hovering...

forward flight you have to add some throttle to remain at the same altitude.

Rock DW - just a little info for you. My av130 throws around T2i and 18-55 lens no worries. Not alot of room for live view output cable however, can be done with 90 degree plug. Camera ready to take pics - is 730 grams.

wow I sure appreciate all the good info. quick question for all you photo pros...can i over use the cameras sensor cleaning function? I take a ton of pics for fun and it seems my cameras get turned on and off several times a day. both canons (t3i, t2i) are setup to clean the sensor every time...
