    Bootcamp for mac...help

I would uninstall Naza Driver and Naza assistant, then reinstall them, don't let windows install the driver for Naza. Do that from the downloaded file, download the latest from DJI. Start Assistant and then install the driver from DJI then hook up the Naza with the Assistant already running. I...

    4 Cell Versus 3 Cell

I would go with 3cel and use the Graupner Eprops 10x5's. Get a balancer and you will have a very smooth setup. I experimented with different props and for a 450 this is a great combo. I use the same Eprops on the 550 and 3cels on that as well. You can go to as much as a 6000 Lipo on the 450 and...

Really impressed by WooKong and Z15

Here is a quick video from the first flight. I did not bother trying to set the camera up well. It was just in manual 1080 60P. And some quick photos from my iPad: The monitor is a very good 9" Pro NTSC HD-SDI monitor from Ican (overkill, but I have it and several Marshalls as well, I...

Really impressed by WooKong and Z15

Wow, I just made my maiden flight with the new S800 and Z15 with DJI 5.8ghz video link and iOSD (not markII), but i will down load the upgrade as soon as it is available. It took about 8 hrs to put it all together and program 2 Futaba T8FG supers to control the ship and Zenmuse. I have a F450...

Single Op Radio Set up using 8FG tx and R6208SB rx, S800 and Zenmuse

Peter, check the webcam in my office: http://www.westsidestudios.com/KEYcam/WaveWEBcam.html It points at Mt Washington. I have actually shot a lot up there in 120mph wind even. Not with a RC heli though. I have shot up there with a full scale JetRanger and Tyler mount several times. The worst...

Single Op Radio Set up using 8FG tx and R6208SB rx, S800 and Zenmuse

Boris, I like the setup, seems like a good start. I take it this is the model you are using: http://jetimodel.com/index.php?page=product&id=252 US store that sells it: http://www.espritmodel.com/jeti-duplex-radios.aspx Two Futabas with receivers cost about $900.00. And you get 4 sticks and...

Single Op Radio Set up using 8FG tx and R6208SB rx, S800 and Zenmuse

I gave up on the idea of 1 radio to control both Zenmuse and S800 after starting down that route, and consulting with my dealer, he is exchanging the parts. It can be done but you need a lot of Sbus parts and a lot of programming including changing the channels on the Sbus hub. And it is not...

Single Op Radio Set up using 8FG tx and R6208SB rx, S800 and Zenmuse

This is what my dealer quoted me: "You will need The Futaba Receiver $139 And a few misc parts to expand the receiver to control the Zenmuse from a single remote which Cost another $90. So, in order to get all the parts needed to work with your Current 8FG Super. Add $229 to cover the needed...

Single Op Radio Set up using 8FG tx and R6208SB rx, S800 and Zenmuse

I just ordered a similar kit and I plan on using my 8FG Super with it. I should be building it Thursday and Friday, I will post about how it goes here. I am also using the DJI OSD with the DJI 5.8ghz video downlink so there will be quite a bit of tweaking I imagine. Do any experienced users...

Getting F550 Kit dialed in for video

You are right only 1-2 mph wind that morning. And no it is not at all like a Zenmuse. BTW I just ordered an S800 with Zenmuse. I can't wait to shoot with that rig. I may be selling the F550 setup once I have the S800 all set up. Or I may keep it as a spare.

F550 What wieght are you flying with

I use a MKTR Pro Gimbal with the dual servos for roll. I have applied some post stabilization in AE. This setup works very well in smooth conditions. I get up to 7 minutes on the 6400 3c batts but I always land after 6 minutes with 20-25% batt left. I now have a S800 with Zemuse coming, I...

F550 What wieght are you flying with

I use 3cel 6400 batts so what you have for time seems about right. I get 4 minutes out of 3cel 4000's with 20% left. I do fly pretty gently, no fast climbing. Here is the latest vid with that setup:

Getting F550 Kit dialed in for video

I am running Pitch gain at 15 and Roll at 20. Here is the latest video I shot yesterday. Something strange happened to my Naza at the end of these flights. It had been flying very smoothly and beautifully for about 6 5 minute flights in the morning, the shots in the above video. Then after...

    Disco-Naza-Wind-Jello

Are you flying in GPS mode? If so try just Atti. And let the wind move your heli. GPS fights it and this causes lots of small corrections. Smooth flying smooth video. Find smooth air, even in windy conditions there is usually some. There is always turbulence on the down wind side of large...

    GPS and Failsafe

I like atti mode better for video, it is smoother the heli is not continually trying to correct position. I like to use the wind to give me smooth shots. And I also find the smoothest move for a camera is to just get some speed going and then let go of the sticks, in GPS this will stop the heli...

    Second flight...two problems

It is a big file, it may take awhile to load. You can see it on Vimeo here as well: https://vimeo.com/57337774 or see if this works:

    Second flight...two problems

Good luck tomorrow testing. My Z is set to -9cm on both the 450 and 550. I think it is supposed to be to the CG in other words if you have a lot of low weight it would be lower. I have tried various settings but on my helis it does not seem to make any difference. They are about equally stable...

    Second flight...two problems

Turn it left about 12 degrees. Yes it will help. With my 450 and my 550, it takes a while until GPS settles down, I have a lot of trees where I take off so the reception is not the best here. Often I get a bit of TBing in the begining of the flight, but once I have been up for a while and I...

    Second flight...two problems

Have you turned your GPS antenna n the right direction for your local magnetic variation? If GPS misbehaves go to Atti mode, fly for a while then go back and figure out what is up with GPS mode. I usually take off and land in atti mode.

Getting F550 Kit dialed in for video

I do a CC in FCPX and then I run Warp stabilizer with some special settings in AE CS6 for the shots that need help, I use the no scaling feature and search frames for 1 sec and detailed analysis, it takes a while but it really helps, if you were clumsy on the controls or a gust of wind hits you...
