Nice :) I primarily shoot stills hence I've only ordered the VM-6. I have since "realised some assets" and am wondering if I should have gone for the XM instead and built my own custom retract u/c. I have already built retracts for my octo. I am finishing my camera gimbal - with external...

Great news (for you). I know mine isn't far away. I'm not going to do the dorky unboxing either! I have considered a time-lapse of the build but that will only demonstrate that I don't know what I'm doing! Pete

I ordered 1 month ago today... WHERE'S MY EMAIL TO TELL ME TO COME AND PICK IT UP LUCY / LINDA!!! Sorry - just joining in ;) I know mine will be ready soon but they are busy. That's ok. The work-bench is clear, motors are here, esc's are here and my diy camera mount is nearing testing...

    Tau Labs CC3D release!

Video of carnage??? No on-board images? It does sound like the CC3D is a winner. I'll add my name to the bottom of the waiters I guess. The autotune sounds awesome. Especially for those of us that can't be bothered dedicating hours and hours of frustration to programming the damn boards...

Has GPS dumbed down this hobby?

I agree that there is a use for GPS and solo shooting. I admit that I could use it just to hold position. I have two Hoverfly Pro boards and I have considered the GPS add on but I'm sorting the model out first.

Has GPS dumbed down this hobby?

I've been flying rc helis for 7 years now. I haven't found the need for gps yet on my multis... I just fly. I know using stabilization that I have got lazy - so I now have my "disposable quad". KK2 board, 18mm square pine and I bash it around the park and I love it. Originally I built it for...

Linda... did Lucy confess to her small error??? It will cost her coffee... Nic - at least you already have a DW frame! We are going through a really crappy period of spring 40-80Km/h westerly winds (from Aussie of course) so very little flying of anything this week. I have pending work with...

    Turnigy Wood Props

While I haven't tested the HK woods yet, the blades seem wide - slow-fly style. I tested some Xoar "matched-pair" woods that had narrow blades and they handled the wind and turbulence so much better than the APC SF props I had been using. I suspect APC or other rigid narrow E-props would have...
