    Hoverfly Crickets...

Horizon Hobbies, the new Blade 350 QX maybe? hehe ;) My GPS functions okay... nothing like a friend of mine who has a Naza +GPS.

Hoverfly What Makes Good Aerial Video

This is fantastic stuff, some really great tips and ideas. I fly almost always aimlessly around hoping something good results. Of course some of my locations make it possible but incorporating this info will definitely help. I look forward to a lot more contributions, example shots, etc. would...

    Hoverfly Big Boy Setup Questions

Great ideas guys, thanks for the input. I currently fly with EZUHF for the RC control and 5.8GHz for the pilot downlink. I've tried 1.2 and have been out a mile with it but I've found most of my flying is within that range if not a lot closer. I agree 2.4 for RC and video will end in disaster...

Hoverfly What Makes Good Aerial Video

I thought it might be a good idea with all the pros here to discuss what makes a good video including ideas, techniques, shots, etc. I feel like from a technical perspective I've got a couple of quads that can take nice video. But I don't really have a videography background so I think it...

    Hoverfly GPS Accuracy

You guys are far too kind, and I really appreciate it! But you know what I mean, you're showing someone your video over your shoulder and its at that point you realize which sections are too long or should be removed all together. Or you're editing it together and wish you would have flown...

    Hoverfly GPS Accuracy

That's exactly what I'm trying to figure out now. Finally with the ability to take technically good video trying to figure out what actually makes an aerial good video is a whole other matter. Not as easy as it once seemed. I get bored watching my own videos... hehe :) Need to figure out how to...

    Hoverfly My Brushless Gimbal

Here is my 2nd Spidex quad with brushless gimbal. I picked up a used Hoverfly Pro Black board to replace my original black board that up and croaked. I also decided to add my GPS board to this quad so it's now my "Flagship" quad so to speak. It's a little on the heavy side at 1970g AUW including...

    Hoverfly Big Boy Setup Questions

Thanks ProPilotWannaBe, so what frequencies do you use for 2 downlinks? Or are you saying because you fly mostly LOS you only have one? I was wondering if 2 5.8GHz Vtx on different channels would work or would it be better to have one 5.8 and one 2.4 or something else?

    Hoverfly Big Boy Setup Questions

Hey Guys, I figured this forum probably has the highest concentration of pros around that have experience. I recently had an opportunity to work on a commercial shoot with my Hoverfly Pro based Spidex/Brushless gimbal quad. My quad setup has a separate FPV cam from the HD cam. The shots...

    Hoverfly GPS Accuracy

I agree, I like the way my HFP flies in manual mode as well. Plus they're so easy to setup. I just wish I could put my dusty GPS board to use :) I too look forward to the GPS improvements they're working on.

Hoverfly HFP board died..... feel deserted.

That sucks to hear... these are expensive boards and it really sucks when one goes belly up! I've got a HFP black board that has bad gyros, sure wish I had purchased the yellow jacket plan on it... hehe DOAH! Have to admit I've been eyeballing a Naza v2 myself. A buddy of mine has a v1 and...

    Naza-M V2 Fly away

Thanks everyone for the great responses. I agree on forums you usually hear all the bad and not much of the good so it tends to blow things out of perspective. As a long time Hoverfly user I have to admit I'm envious of the altitude hold and position hold I've seen in person with the NAZA. I...

    Hoverfly GPS Accuracy

Yeah, I've heard the same... I'm definitely concerned about the fly away stuff! YIKES! I posted a question over in the DJI thread to see if the V2 Naza still has the flyaway problem.

    Hoverfly GPS Accuracy

A buddy of mine has a DJI Naza and I was blown away with the position hold and the altitude hold, do they just have better GPS gear/barometers? He let go of the sticks with the thing a couple of feet off the ground and it just sat there, even with the prop wash/ground effect.

    Naza-M V2 Fly away

Thinking about going with a Naza-M V2 but was wondering if people are still having fly aways with this? I've read about a lot of fly aways with the original Naza, has that been resolved? Thanks in advance!

    Hoverfly please help!

Can the motors be rotated on the booms? If so, are any of them rotated just slightly causing a little bit of yaw thrust? Only thing I can think of. Sorry to hear of your troubles, not a good place to be missing gear :)

    Hoverfly GPS Accuracy

I agree, I hardly ever fly my GPS based HF quad as it has a mind of its own sometimes, not as bad as yours but scary quirks none the less!

Would something like this help in GPS accuracy? Holy cow those are some beautiful shots and nice footage, well done! Not sure if you were replying to me or aebiagio ;) but I'll take the credit! Although aebiagio has a stunning video! Thanks Paul, it was a great spot and a nice evening. I saw your first FPV vid and I'm sure you'll be...
