Hi flitelab Didn't have to much time for extensive testing. Took the Alware 3-Axis Pro V2 off the 500X and bolted the Crane on and connected it to the GU-INS gimbal ports (pan axis straight to the Rx) ...straight and perfect fit. I did a few FPV-flights (sorry...no recording) but my impression...

At the moment, with the Zenmuse Gimbal, you have a limited angle of uninterrupted view due to the fixed structure of the landing gear. If you need more movement you have to turn the whole bird in the air. Zenmuse works only together with a DJI FlightControl. At the moment, Zenmuse only works...

But isn't it, that at the end of the day all of us couldn't care less who is using which technology and all the rest of the sad stories....I guess anyone of the competing systems will come out first with a workable solution, and that will be the guys who need a big parking space to accomodate...

But wasn't the problem with F1 and F2 on some WKM units due to false signals coming to these ports when you connect motors (Oktocopters)...? I guess this was due to an internal hardware flaw, but the spinning up sounds more like a software problem. Mihnea de Vries should send this...

Do You use a Ferrite ring on your servo cables: Most of the time with that you get rid of interference from the sourrounding hardwares. If that doesn't help the interference might already happen on the stabi board. That's true, they use pretty cheap (price wise ~ $ 35,-) stepper motors...

There is a good article about servos and servo jitter: http://www.societyofrobots.com/actuators_servos.shtml One thing is for sure...if the camera is not absolutely perfectly balanced on the gimbal and ther is even a slight load on the servo, the servo constantly tries to find its center...
