    Question about IOC

Mongo: Another pilot posted a great description somewhere around here, but to paraphrase: Once you have a good sat lock, at takeoff, NAZA records the "home position". Then imagine a line drawn directly from that takeoff point to the MR, no matter where it is in relation to you or that takeoff...

    Question about IOC

Greiswig: Yes, that's what Home Lock is, if you have GPS. Regardless of the nose direction, flip the IOC switch, pull back on the cyclic and the MR will fly back to the home point.

    Fail-Safe mode with AR8000 & DX7?

    Robertsup: Check PMs.

Finding the Center of Gravity for the NAZA contoller

Bob: So you started out with a +4cm and you're now at -12cm or the other way around for the vertical CG #? If your GPS is mounted above everything on your MR, then the "Z" axis mount number in Assistant will always be negative. Ron

1 watt high power LED's for night/day orientation.

Rob: >I would still rather have a green light on the left and a red on the right. If you want to be correct for aviation, it's RED left and GREEN right position lights. and a WHITE tail light.

    Naza RTH Crash

Ryan: Sorry to hear about your crash. A few things: - You said you flipped the "switch", so was this a switched failsafe or did you turn your TX off? - Does the DEVO 10 have a way to do a pre-set failsafe? If so, how was it set up? (I fly a DX8 so I know jack about a DEVO) - Does Assistant...

    Intelligent Orientation Control IOC Naza

Hey Jim: Yeah, just flip IOC back to normal and you're good to go. But as gtranquilla says, do it early. Regarding RTH, if you switch triggered RTH, then that failsafe switch also has to be reset to normal. My technique for a switched failsafe is once I know the hexa is headed home, I put...

    Bouncin'

Minus 10C OAT? How long was your hexa outside before flying? Were you in Home Lock the whole time and how far away from the takeoff point was this happening?

    Fail-Safe mode with AR8000 & DX7?

Lou: SMRCEO is correct. Check page 6, item #10 of the NAZA manual. No real explanation though. As I said above, I think the conventional wisdom here is setting the throttle closer to 40-50%, just to be on the safe side.

Hey: At work now but will send it along in the morning. The file is kind of specific to NAZA and a Spektrum DX8/AR8000 Tx/Rx. Just so you know.

    Fail-Safe mode with AR8000 & DX7?

Hey Lou: How did you set up your pre-set failsafe bind? Do you have a switch activated failsafe setup in the DX7? If not, you need to do that first. On my DX8, I have that failsafe switched on the GEAR switch. Normal flight=0 and failsafe=1 Next, get setup to bind the AR8000 to the DX7...

Program 3 way flight mode swith on DX7 helicopter TX for GPS mode

Morning: It's my impression most pilots are flying their multi-rotors in the "airplane" mode of their radios and if memory serves, the NAZA manual suggests this as well. I looked at the AR7000 manual. It looks like you can wire up the NAZA to AR7000 by connecting the NAZA "U" port with the...

Program 3 way flight mode swith on DX7 helicopter TX for GPS mode

Hello: Do you have the old DX7 or the DX7s? The DX7s is similar to the DX8 I have so I may be able to help. What receiver to you have? What multi-rotor are you flying? Ron

    1 Naza Fail Safe - 2 Intelligent Orientation - 3 toilet bowling

Jim: I think you will like IOC Home Lock especially if you're flying line of sight. While in GPS mode, "Oops, don't know which way you're pointed", add a little throttle to climb(just in case.....), flip into IOC Home Lock and pull the cyclic aft toward you. F550 comes back to you regardless...

    1 Naza Fail Safe - 2 Intelligent Orientation - 3 toilet bowling

Hey Jim: 1. A couple of things here. Check your magnetic declination for your area - meaning your GPS module will probably be oriented just slightly left of straight for MA. Second part is do a compass calibration. Check the NAZA manual for this. 2. I can't recall if it's in the manual, but...

    (intelligent orientation control)

paktazh: One question. You do have the GPS fitted correct? I'm fairly new to multirotors and find IOC a great selling point for new pilots. When flying line of sight(LOS), it's such a confidence builder to know that if you do get dis-oriented, flipping a switch can bring the MR back to you...

    Pre-Flight Checklists (Flamewheel)

Re checklist: Assuming you put the thing together properly and calibrated everything in Assistant, this is the checklist I use before flying. Compass calibration is important BEFORE the first flight. prop blades and hubs- check for cracks around hubs and blade tips, nut security...

    DJI "NEW" 10" Props

I just purchased a Du-Bro and went through my prop sets. Of 3 sets for a hexa, all the 1045 APCs, all the 1045 GEMFANs and 5 of the new 1038 DJIs needed balance. The DJIs are presently mounted. The question is what's the consensus on either adding weight or removing a bit of prop for the...

    Question about propellers for F550

Anselmo: Sounds like your kit was short some props. My F550 kit came with 8 each of the 10" and 8" props. DJI props do have a bad reputation, especially the older ones. The newer 1045s have a thicker hub but do break - I lost one in flight after about 4 hours total flight time on them. The...

    DX8 setup with Naza M on a F550

Hey: First thing is I'd check to see if the cable is still connected between NAZA U and AR8000 AUX1. Second would be to INH all switches on the DX8 switch select page of the radio, then try to re-assign AUX1 to the FMODE switch. Ron
