    IMU Calibration

A few things I would do: Create a complete new Model in your Remote - could be that you have some sort of mixer activated in your current model, which you don't get rid of by just calibrating. Flash the firmware of your IMU....can be the same version you are using, just flash it to get rid of...

    Octocopter with Red Epic

I also got a question: How is your 24 Amp - 4S put together ? Could only be 3x 4S - 8.000 mAh Lipo's....didn't find any 4S - 12.000 mAh. My wild guess is this one: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=16226 Some serious weight for LiPo's....2,5 kg....but since they...

    FAA where are we today

Just yesterday we had a customer coming to our factory to do an Quality Audit (checking if we comply with our Quality certification). There was also a guy coming with from Austro Control (equivalent to the US FAA), because we supply our customer with components for full size aircraft engines. So...

I just don't get the whole battery thing...why can't you use all the available power?

If you buy a 1.000 mAh LiPo, it's actually a 800 mAh Lipo...but they don't write that on the label. So a 1.000 mAh will alway give you 800 mAh. If you do some serious flying one day you will find out that your investment in LiPo's will easily be higher than your flying machine....that's why we...

    Octocopter with Red Epic

Very nice....just one question (since there is a discussion about this in another thread): What is your specific reason for using wooden XOAR props ??? Thanks Chris

I just don't get the whole battery thing...why can't you use all the available power?

You get something mixed up here....Volts is not the capacity, it's the voltage. One LiPo cell has a nominal Voltage of 3,7 V and a maximum charge Voltage of 4,2 V The capacity of a Lipo is measured in Milliampere hours. A milliampere hour (mAh) is 1000th of an ampere hour ( Ah ). Both measures...

As for the spacers: The easiest thing would be to buy 2 or 3 meter of 8x1 alu tube, find a machining shop close to you and pay a few cents per piece to be cut....I was just amazed how much money you can ask for nothing (almost...) Following the discussion here (altough only understanding a...

    FAA where are we today

I just want to see a proof somewhere in history that a group of people said: Hey, we are too stupid to take care for ourselves. Now we want somebody to take our money away, come up with stupid laws and let us pay fines if we do not obey these rules, start fights with other groups of people and...
