How to calculate MTOM (maximum take off mass)

Post a screen grab of your eCalc and I'll try to help identify any errors.

Boca bearings upgrades for Tiger(Avroto) motors.

If the bearing bore is distorted it will force the outer race out-of-round. Such distortion should be pretty obvious if you offer the bearing to the bore (with your fingers switched to "sensitive mode"). If you do find an out-of-round bearing bore then that motor is basically junk, I'd say.

Boca bearings upgrades for Tiger(Avroto) motors.

I've built two "mules" for testing out various frame and gimbal ideas, but so far I'm only flying for that purpose. Boca, of course, are a niche supplier - they charge a hefty premium for bringing standard industrial components together in one place and describing/supporting them for specific...

Boca bearings upgrades for Tiger(Avroto) motors.

Somebody's being naughty supplying unmarked bearings - not sure if that will be the dealer or RCTiger themselves. They may be good quality, but you have no way of telling until they fail early. EZO is a good brand to go for, widely available. Lots of big bearing brands - any one of them will do...

    Waterproof Mulitrotors with Liquipel?

I think if you wanted to make an MR that could fly in (light) rain it would not be too difficult - electronics covered with ventilation only from the underside, etc. Similar problems to waterproofing the electrics of a car. It's the motors that would be the headache - you'd presumably need to...

    Need help with propellor sizing

Yeah, that can be tricky. According to http://www.foxtechfpv.com/sunnysky-221611-kv800-motor-p-383.html these are a straight knock-off of this: http://www.rctigermotor.com/show.php?contentid=143, so select Tiger MT2216-12. The DJI is possibly an OEM version (or knock-off) of the Tiger MT2212...

How can I determine a bad ESC?

It could do, but it might also be just a bad solder connection or a loose bullet.

Best DJI S800 Ad video i'ved seen!

Just what I've read right here on these forums - the S800 is not without its "issues", just as the DJI flight gear has some problems too. So, yeah, I'd probably look at mounting a Z15 on something that you could trust a bit more. I believe it's been proved that you only need to connect the DJI...

Found My Distro Board Finally... Powerhungrysystems.com

I just looked again at their site - they changed/expanded it a little bit. There's now a sticker on the top which proclaims "Patent Pending"... oh, come onnnnnn! Add to the "cons" list: - Bullet connectors for easy disconnecting <s>after</s> during flight. ;) And the video demo - 6:30 flight...

    Opinions on these images please

I hear you, I do. But your example details an original sale followed by a rip-off. I do a lot of speculative work with tourism images (since I live in such an area). So, with an image for which I've never received any income, if I put it on the web without watermarking then I may well deny...

    Opinions on these images please

It depends on the subject matter, of course, but it's not just about unauthorised print usage - these days even big companies (as Stacky says) can and will blatantly disregard copyright ownership for online images used on their own website. "Oh, I found it on the net, so it must be free!", or "I...

How to modify a Align DS510 servo for 270°/360°/continuous rotation?

Found this picture of the gear set for DS510: http://www.revolutionmodelsport.co.uk/prod-image/NewAlign/k10423a_3.jpg Doesn't look good for modding: looks like the main output gear is moulded and the teeth don't go all the way around the circumference.

..and you can always put a watermark on it, too

    Need help with propellor sizing

The logical conclusion is that 11x4.5 is too much prop for that motor with that AUW. With respect, you need to persist with eCalc - all the answers/understanding you need are in there. Try posting a screen shot of your numbers in eCalc and I could point out where you might have gone wrong.

    Opinions on these images please

"Light" is obviously a principal ingredient in any photograph. Understanding light and how it works, how and what it contributes to any particular photograph is key to "being a photographer". One of the habits you develop as a photographer is "seeing the light" just as much as "seeing the...

Best DJI S800 Ad video i'ved seen!

That video demonstrates (very well) the capabilities of the Zenmuse Z15 but proves very little about the S800 itself. The end result would be the same with the Z15 mounted on any other frame of equivalent size and general quality. ;) One thing it does show up nicely is that effective...

Boca bearings upgrades for Tiger(Avroto) motors.

I think that, of all the components on a multirotor, the bearings should be at the top of the "consumables" list and subject to a "planned replacement" policy. Bought in bulk, even high quality bearings are about $2 each or less. Replacing them every n flights or n hours would be cheap...

That's definitely dust on the sensor, not the lens - looks like it needs a good scrub :)

Boca bearings upgrades for Tiger(Avroto) motors.

Were these new bearings marked "EZO"? And were they "faulty" right from the package, i.e. if you put a pencil in the bore and rotate the inner race you can feel a roughness? I'm still trying to get to the bottom of this Tiger/EZO bearings issue. EZO bearings are a high quality product. I'm sure...

Those odd parts you may need when you are trying to modify your mulirotor

The ServoCity/Lynxmotion timing pulley is a reasonable "fall back" choice, but there are much better ways to go if you really want a well engineered end result. For a start, it's an MXL profile, which is far from ideal, not designed for precision bidirectional positioning - it introduces its own...
