FPV equipment (with an OSD) can get you close as long as you still have a signal. For a real solution you would need a dedicated GPS transmitter and receiver like what PeterLester linked to.

Anyone tried GetFPV's (FPVmanuals) FX motors? From all specs and appearances, they appear to just be re-branded Tiger motors. Are they QC failed motors re-branded at a lower price?

So to answer your question... No. Not without adding another tracking device to your bird. The GPS that your Phantom has is only a receiver. It only communicates with the flight controller. There is no signal for anything to "lock onto".

True. With Spektrum/JR once you bind the Rx to the second model the first will no longer work with that Rx. You would have to re-bind if you wanted to use the first model.
