    Peli Case for S800 &/or Z15

Ok Pelican Case Fans ... I've found a solution that is working for me. While I completely admire the functionality of Jack's 1660, it is a no-go for me because it is both overweight and oversized for checked airline baggage. The majority of carriers here have a 62 inch limit (add up the height...

Fantastic. ... Can you give us a true total weight before and after installation?

    Self-made s800 retractable landing gear.

Indeed, Dale, I've heard that prediction about Apple for years and I'm glad I didn't sell my stock. However, nothing is a certainty though I believe they'll do quite well this holiday season with the iPhone5 and iPads. Speaking of which, here's an interesting article discussing Microsoft's...

    Self-made s800 retractable landing gear.

Well said. I'm damn close to the weight limit already so that a significant weight savings would trump price for me. By chance have you got a comparison of the expected weight of the various alternatives?

    Self-made s800 retractable landing gear.

It's a free market, of course, and in the short six years since Dajiang Innovation Technology Co., Ltd was founded, they've proven themselves to be pretty damn savvy in both technology and business. There is a significant demand for retractable landing gear now and they would be foolish not to...

    DJI S800 repair/service in London

It sounds like your physical damage is not too bad (busted landing gear and GPS mast broken). If you didn't break any props or arms you're lucky. I think you would be well advised to take everything to Martin as suggested by HEX junky and have him put things back together and fly your bird to...

    S800 alternative props

Hein, I was looking at that tray but was uncertain whether it would fit the Maxamps 11000. What are its internal dimensions (or have you tried it with the MaxAmps?)

    S800 alternative props

Say, now that all new s800s come with a battery tray, are those of us who bought early before the trays were ready supposed to get one? I'd hate to have to pay $150 for a part that is considered part of the package.

    Our new retractable landing gear

Thank you for all the info, Heinz. Looks outstanding. I'm having some trouble figuring out how you determine shipping costs to the US on your site. Do you have an English version of your site that I'm not aware of? Many thanks.

    Our new retractable landing gear

Heinz, I applaud you for developing a product for this field. Competition only helps the users. Nevertheless, I'd be very interested to hear whether you claim your retracts are superior in any way to the DJI version. How does it compare in weight? Are there features or components in yours that...

    S800 alternative props

Denny, I also fly with those MaxAmps 11,000 batteries and agree that they seem to be the optimum right now. I'm pretty heavy at 6,613 grams with the MaxAmps and the extras I fly but it handles very nicely and gets about 11 minutes air time. I also tested the Turnigy Nano-Tech 8000 batteries and...

Using EPSON MOVERIO glasses and DJI iOSD to create a functional HUD

Should have them this week! Shipping was 34,10. I'll definitely report after I get a chance to test them out. We flew with the Moverio glasses today again and I had two other people operate the camera with them. They both liked them very much.

Using EPSON MOVERIO glasses and DJI iOSD to create a functional HUD

Thanks Chris. I suspect you are right and Cedric is shipping out my set tomorrow. ... I still think these MOVERIO glasses may be useful under some circumstances so I am going to test them this week. But I agree that the PiratEye looks like it will work under all conditions.

Black and white picture from DJI video downlink

Ok, I downloaded the GH2 Hack and it worked great. In addition to a PAL/HDMI switch I was able to choose a number of other improvements. If you have a GH1 or GH2 you need to install the hack! http://www.personal-view.com/faqs/ptool/ptool-faq

Using EPSON MOVERIO glasses and DJI iOSD to create a functional HUD

Yeah, that was a crappy clip! I'll have a better one soon. The EPSON guys are going to show me how to get better footage shot through the glasses. I also believe I can help people get the video board if they decide to go this route. I have some time this week over the Thanksgiving holiday to...
