Help what should I buy for Cinestar 8

Droider, bear with me, this is my first look at fpv equipment. Want to know if I understand what's needed. Your first link is for the 5.8 GHz transmitter (sending unit) and antenna that goes on the multicopter. You power it up per instructions and then run your composite video cable into the...

Y6 versus Hexacopter....... Advantages one over the other? Chime in!!

Newbie here. Looking for the silky smooth video shots I see on the Octo's but on a smaller and less costly setup. Trying to decide between hexa or maybe a XY8 or quad 8. Appears that for Ti, GH2, or Gh3, and down, a XY8 might be a decent compromise between this Y6 or Hexa conversation?

    my XY8 grew up

Kloner: Sounds like you are running 2 and sometimes 4 batteries? Did you use this rig on the footage that was shown for the golf tournament at Torrey Pines? I just rewatched your first posted video in this thread. Watched to the end this time. Holding the frame it looks bigger than what...

    my XY8 grew up

What motors & props are you using? Batteries? What do you think your rig will carry? I've been reading all night trying to find the advantage and safe weight capacity of flying a quad with 8 motors as opposed to a hex or octo? Could you give me a quick education?

    GH3 announced .... at a price ????

Nice week, I got my GH3 in last Monday. Need more time for realistic opinions, so take these wieth a grain of salt. Not a lot of time with the cam yet. Not that big difference quality wise from my hacked Gh2's. Some nice new features. Wireless is nice to my droid phone but it doesn't show...

    ESC Amperage Question

I am undecided on my motor's for planned Hexa build. I have narrowed it down to 2 choices or three 3 motors depending on what I decide to lift. 1. Avroto 2514 suggest using 30 amp ESC's. 2. Either the Tiger 3515 or MN4014 which I'm considering call for 40 amp ESC's. My question is if I go...

    Try to beat this!!!!! UNREAL!

Juz, please accept my sincere apology. I made the mistake of talking without knowing the facts. I assumed you were a young teenager having fun. I saw the little one on the tricycle on the 2nd pass through the house not knowing the layout or your plan and thought that was a public road you...

    HexaCrafter HC-650

Not sure if I missed it in previous posts, but what motors are you going to use? What are the props you've ordered? If I go with a 650mm I"ll probably go with Avroto M 2814-11 motors and Xoar 12x6 props to start. Hope you get some nice flying weather when you finish.

Before you buy, please read this

I'd like to thank Bart and everyone who have spent time posting and helping on this forum. I'm finding nothing but good advice and information here. Sure it takes some deciphering, but it's good stuff. I started and stopped my research over a year ago as I was overwhelmed and discouraged...

Getting F550 Kit dialed in for video

I'm asking because I have the software & editing tools & skills, so no issue there. I'm designing a build and want very smooth video. Trying to decide between a 650, 800 or 950mm heavy lifter hex. I was assuming I wasn't looking a raw footage from the f550, but wanted to check. Regardless...

Getting F550 Kit dialed in for video

Olof: This is some of the better footage I've seen off this small hex. Is the footage you just put up of the Sony the raw footage or have you run it though software stabilization? Good stuff and thanks for the technique help..... Jim

    HexaCrafter HC-650

Hope you get flying soon. Waiting to see some raw footage from the go pro on your new rig. Especially how well your stabilization works. I'm getting closer to ordering, but still undecided. I'm going to go against the advice of many experienced people and build a 650, 800, or 950 for my...

Turn your f550 or 450 into a 600,700,800 plus size

800mm is what I'd like. It's been asked about the strength of the frame. Is it set up so the 6 arms meet in the center and then there are 2 layers, 1 on top and 1 underneath? Any idea as to a light weight structural reimbursement to stiffen and strengthen it up a bit? If one were to just...

    HexaCrafter HC-650

With this unit your building, for manual flying, do you think there would be much handling difference if one started with the Naza and upgraded later to the WKM controller. I'm thinking of building my first multi and am after visiting the Hexcrafter sight, it looks like one of the motor...

Questions 4 new Hexa system for GH2/ 950g Naza or WK M

I'm contemplating building my first Hexa on a Carbon Core 650 or possibly their 960mm frame. (or something similarly priced $400-$500 range). I love to get the Cinestar 6, but it's just out of my price range at the moment. I am looking for smooth video from my GH2 (600-900g depending on lens)...
