Don't think anybody is crapping on anything. This tread title is about aluminum arms. The other thread (of which these aluminum arms and Kloners coming FC arms are being discussed) is a Discovery Pro thread (if that's what you are referring to) of which both arms fit and are upgrades IMO...

They need to get the update procedure fixed. It's bush league the way it gets done now. I bought the base version with upgrade to 8 motors and when it came in, I couldn't get the upgrade code to work... My dealer finally got it done, but it took a while as he had to communicate with China...

From the photo's I've seen, it appears the usb port is block and GoPro3 would have to be taken off to get to the port or take out the MicroSD card. That's a killer for me. I don't want to un-mount the GoPro to take out the storage card or take out my USB connection which is used for video...

I assume one would need the 550 plates for a y6. Wonder what the weight limits would be on the DJI plates. Don't think they were designed for heavy lifting or high AMPs.

I have a set of your arms on a f450 that now is a 550mm with tiger 2216's. Flies very nicely.... With gopro / 2 axis gimbal get an easy 13min w/ 5000 mHa 4s. Trying to figure out how to build a little bigger unit as a quad or y6 that will slow fly for video in the mid teens (in the air)...

my gopro/ tarot video is good. When there's a problem, it's the pilot. I'm thinking a 3rd axis will fix that. Bout the price of cf props. The whisper quiet would be nice....

I bought the uprade to GOtheliRC vx5 gimbal. It's a little wider and now holds the BMPC & GH2. Might hold the GH3 but I think it's a little heavy for the roll ergonomics. He uses a hollowed shaft brushless motor on the roll (a little bigger than the orig) so it should be a little stronger...

Like Boltzman's build, I'm going to try hanging 2lbs of gimbal and camera off the front, so the Discovery Pro kit doesn't seem to make sense to hack off the front and the gimbal. Did I read where you have a bit of dampening on the arms? Are they easily foldable?
