How much range could you expect from 250 mw?

I've got skew planar & cloverleaf as well as the stock whips. Nothing gets me past 150m. I started with just the rx that's built into the Fat Shark goggles, then got an external rx but got the same performance. Right now I'm just using the stock whips as I haven't made the "mod" to my rx that is...

How much range could you expect from 250 mw?

I'm curious to see what people reply. I'm using the 600mw & I can't get more than 150 meters out of it. Something is not right there. :-/

    RTH weirdness

The turn is normal, that's something new they put in. It will only do that if you are a certain distance from home.. otherwise it just pulls straight back to you and lands. Not sure why it's not turning the motors off though. Sounds like it doesn't realize it's on the ground yet.

DJI Zenmuse gimbal and S800 Spreading Wings preorder

This is going to be interesting to watch as it unfolds. I can't wait till these products are in the hands of real users and we see some real tests coming in. I don't trust tests from the manufacturers much. Anyone else remember when the Wookong first came out and had the introductory "discount...

    XAircraft Xaircraft V4 problem GPS-S

I hate to be the one to break this news to you, but that GPS doesn't work. It has been replaced with a new autopilot that is just now starting to make it's way out into the wild. I think it's now called the AHRS-V2 & GPS-P versions of the hardware. Did you recently purchase this GPS unit? I...

DJI Zenmuse gimbal and S800 Spreading Wings preorder

Damn that's asking a lot for a product that we really know nothing about. While I love my WK-M, There is no way u would preorder something at that price with out several proof of performance videos at least. Till they do that, it's vaporware in my book.

Another Wookong fail, from hot to cold problem?

Sorry to see that, Muunk. Was the craft forcing you into the yaw spin at the end, or was that you trying to fly out of it? I'm curious what you find when the motors are tested. Hope you get back in the air soon. -Terry

    Drilling the F450

I drilled mine with no problem and mounted the CC board. Just be sure to use a center punch first to get things lined up proper. I did end up using nylon screws for mine also. I can't remember if there was any sign of copper inside. -Terry

Cant figure a mix for failsafe

You should set it to a switch so you can at least test it once before it's needed.

    Night Photos

I had to turn the shutter speed WAY down, but there is something cool about that look you get at night. I know the quality won't be as good as what you can get during the day, but something about it seems to interest me.

    Night Photos

Anyone ever tryed doing AP at night? I was just playing around with this last night for the first time. I've only recently flown with a camera other than the Go Pro, so I never had the chance prior. Nothing great to look at, but a couple of shots fo the gazebo at our local park after dusk. I'd...

Is the F450 the new go to?

So it seems that there has been a TON of traffic on here lately about the F450 kit. A lot of the posts seem to be coming from new members, which is absolutely fantastic. Would you say that the 450 has become the new entry way into this hobby? Last year it seemed like XAircraft was doing...

Running software on Mac with Parallels / F550 help

N720HP, unless you see a statement that a particular bit of software does work on a Mac, you should assume that it doesn't. It sucks, but that's still the world we live in (at least for a few more years). I use the DJI software on a Mac with Parallels and WinXP 32bit. Never had a problem with...

    Show us what you shot.

The first shot was for a client. They have 17 acres and we were trying to show the overall size of the property. The rest are from a quick day trip to Harpers Ferry, WV. There are tons of things to shoot around there. I'll be going back when the weather gets nicer and the trees fill out...
