    DJI F450/NAZA Flyaway

First of all good deal on getting her back, that's awesome. A question, I was looking at the Flytrex data too and was wondering if the altitude height is correct. Is the spot where it crashed really 500' higher than where you took off from? I'm asking because I'm interested in Flytrex now...

Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

I agree all this should be done but watching some of the videos of guys testing RTH it scares the crap out of me thinking about the first couple of tests. I've only got 4 flights on mine so far and if you saw my video I kept it to about 10 - 12 feet max and in Attitude and manual mode only. I...

Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

Wow that really sucks, I know the feeling of crashing RC aircraft but not losing one completely, sorry to hear this. Now for a few questions. In an earlier thread you were having issues binding your FrSKY TFR6 Rx to your Futaba TX. I never saw you post anything about having figured out the...

POLL: What type of Prop Balancer is the best for Multirotors?

I have an old Du-Bro a new TF mag balancer. My TF is more sensitive than my DB is, one of my props seems in balance on the DB and when I put it on the TF it's clearly not. I'm sure there's something better but at what cost I don't know and I know there's plenty of people who dislike the TF...

    F550 Help Needed

Do you know how to arm it after unplugging? Do the sliders move in NAZA Assistant when you move you Tx sticks? A video of what's going on when attached to the pc with Assistant running would help a lot. What I've noticed in the new versions of Assistant is that you used to have to click the...

Please critique my F450 build...any gotchas before I start ordering final parts?

One more thing to screw up your calculations :nevreness: APC makes 3 different model props that work for these. There's the Slo Fly, Thin Electric and now they make a MR (multi rotor) series prop also. From what I read they are sort of in between the other 2 as far as stiffness is concerned...

Please critique my F450 build...any gotchas before I start ordering final parts?

So what did you decide on prop size with the 900kv Sunnyskys with all your e-calc time? I'm thinking I should have ordered 10x5.5 instead of 10x4.5 Maybe I'll use the 4.5's with the stock Dji motors, as I plan to fly it a bit with them so I can see what the difference really is between motors.

Please critique my F450 build...any gotchas before I start ordering final parts?

Thanks Mike, the reason I asked was because mine hadn't shown yet and even though I had a tracking number I wasn't able to track them so I was getting leery. I don't have much experience ordering from Hong Kong or China, I knew things take 3 - 4 weeks but never being able to see tracking info...

Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

Corey what exactly are you doing here, spinning motors with drill and measuring the voltage they make? I've never seen anything about this (or I missed it).

FYI: Carbon Fiber tubes - how they are constructed - Enjoy ;)

I don't want to take this to far off track but I have a question about CF sheets. I have a nice sheet of CF (2mm) I was going to use on my RC rock crawler but I think I'm going to use it to make a plate to mount electronics on. My question is what's the best way to cut this stuff and still...

Please critique my F450 build...any gotchas before I start ordering final parts?

Hi Mike, I have a question for you about your motors. Where did you find the Sunnysky V2216-11 900KV II at? I have the same motors on order and have been waiting some time on mine to get here.

Another interesting idea for strength to weight would be light weight aluminum wrapped with CF or maybe even kevlar. The company I works for uses an aluminum tube wrapped in CF in one of our machines. One issue they found if you try this yourself, is if the tube had the CF wrapped around in...

    This 2nd switch does huh?!

Just tried setting up the timer for the throttle, works great, thanks again. I found a couple more vids for setting up RTH on it's own switch and I believe I got that too, have to connect to Naza Assistant to verify but it now seems to work as I seen in the videos. Now if it'd ever quit...

I second the thanks for the tip on scraping away the paint to expose additional solder points, wish I knew that trick before I built mine but I'll use it when I add more wiring.

What type of connectors between KK2.1 FC and reciever?

Here you go, apparently in China they have a problem with anatomy also..lol Never seen them listed as Male - Male before. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__21758__10cm_male_to_male_servo_lead_jr_26awg_10pcs_set_.html?gclid=CNeHpu-P27sCFclaMgodzQYAdQ

What type of connectors between KK2.1 FC and reciever?

Ok, I know it's New Years Eve but I think maybe you guys have started partying a bit early. Those connectors in the pic above are female - female. See the holes in the ends, like a female... Male to male would have pins, like a male, go to the bathroom and check if you don't believe me...
