Newbie try to build his own quad need some opinion and advise.

A lot of questions there. Firstly motors are not directional, unlike props. The direction of the motor depends on the order of the wires connected to the esc. If it sounds in the wrong direction after confection them just swap the 2 outside wires and direction will switch. Some frames come...

    XAircraft Xaircraft ESC questions

    - You can throttle calibrate them, but you don't need to. - You do not need to remove the red wire from the ESC bec when connecting to SuperX IO Module. - I have read that the XAircraft ESC's use a chip which cannot be flashed with SimonK, apparently you can use BLHeli - but why? like rwilabee...

    XAircraft Kopterworx .... poor service?

This thread and the original complaint was posted April 2009. The response as I quoted is April 2014. That's what it says as I read it in Tapatalk on my Samsung. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

You need to recalibrate your sticks for neutral and end point. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    XAircraft Xaircraft ESC questions

The ultra PWM esc's are discontinued and are only for the smaller 450 anyway I believe. The 30amp ones you are referring to (same as the ones I use) are rebadged t-motor. So they are quality esc's running at 400mhz . What issues have you had with them that you feel the need to flash them...

    XAircraft SuperX

Unfortunately I have found that allowing for general user error (which is the cause of the vast majority of problems -speaking from personal experience here) with electronics, **** happens. Not sayingyou did anything wrong, on the contrary, your was likely meticulous. But, doesn't matter how...

XAircraft XAircraft X650 Pro - Owners

DO NOT throttle calibrate your ESC's. They don't need it. I did mine accidentally (I forgot) and have had trouble with them since -have to recalibrate again (for the 5th time).

    XAircraft SuperX

I remember reading (I think on RCG) that a guy with an octo threw a motor and didn't realise until he went through the logs. I would expect that for a hex and octo you would at the very least be able to land without too much trouble. On a quad - no chance...

Does the GPS puck have to be elevated?

Here's a pic of how my puck is mounted. Again, not DJI, but principle is the same.

T-Motor 30A ESC's with NAZA V2 not spinning during motor tests. HELP!!

Been there done that! My latest stupid mistake was to leave a prop adapter on the shaft when changing props, so on one of the motors I had 2 x prop adapters so motors were effectively not level and it took a full rebuild to find it - of course I took the props off last. DOH....

Does the GPS puck have to be elevated?

Yes, it does say to elevate it in the instructions. In reality this is not the case. Not using the naza anymore but the principle is the same as my current SuperX. I have mounted my puck on a small platform off the back so there is no interference from other components and it seems to work...

T-Motor 30A ESC's with NAZA V2 not spinning during motor tests. HELP!!

When I had my naza, using the motor test function was useless (in my case). At best the motors pulsed, but this could have been in any direction. So it didn't help. I just take the props off and arm the motors. Easiest and best way to test motor direction. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

New Setup! Please help me out and share your knowledge

9xR is a great place to start. The fact it is open source is irrelevant -there will be a learning curve regardless of which tx you buy. For a little extra the Frsky Taranis is highly recommended (mine is on its way). The Taranis will replace my 9XR which I think is a great value radio with more...

    XAircraft Stella Gimbal

I think you have misunderstood what Idahobell is having an issue with. He knows where to connect sbus to the Stella. What he doesn't seem to understand is sbus is 'bus' style connection as opposed to point-to-point as with traditional Rx channels. If you made half the effort to actually...

    XAircraft Stella Gimbal

All you need is a y - servo cable. Plug the common end into your receiver and then over end into the naza and the other into the Stella. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
