Hi Gert Great to have a South African guy on the forum....warm welcome to you. I am living in Austria at the moment, but will move permanently with my family to Cape Town on the 15th September....we found a nice house in Hout Bay, so if you live not too far away we could meet up and I might be...

    Tau Labs OP Developers banned

What the hell are you guys talking about......???? I don't understand one word......but I guess thats what always kept me away from Open-Source stuff.....I don't seem to have the ability to keep useful information apart from hick-hack. As far as I understand, someone was "fired" from...

Caught on camera, multirotor crashes into crowd at Great Bull Run

Live stream from ReadyMade RC FPV

Looking cool.... That's the statement from Readymade RC: OK, for anyone curious...This was a Finwing Air Titan prototype. Using a TSLRS for control (very old one!). 1280MHz. Actually threw a 1500mW on there just because we know this plane can fly FAR if we want to. 99% of the time that is...

S800 Spins when above 100ft, but fine when below 50 ft

Althought it is almost impossible to diagnose this kind of behavior without actually having the bird standing in front of me, there would be a few questions from my side: How does the copter react when you switch to manual mode once it starts the unwanted rotations......? Does this always...

Caught on camera, multirotor crashes into crowd at Great Bull Run

Apperantely Dave Parrish was only hired to take ground-shots and took some pictures of the bird and the "pilots"...... There is another one: 2 things are interesting on this SkyJib: It's got a "professional" Wookong system, and the cable/wire-mess is the worst I have ever seen.......great...

The WooKong is dead, long live the A2

Can't see what's so great about this..... The IMU seems to be the same as the WooKong V2 IMU.....Everyone rushing to get one of the "Super-Combo-Sale" Wookong packages which flooded the market lately to get rid of stock had to "trade-in" the old IMU from the "deal" to get the new V2 = rip-off...

2 devastating crashes in a month using Wookong

First of all, sorry for your crash.... As it looks like, you won't be able to pin down the source of your crashes, like many of us WooKong-crashers couldn't.....that's a fact. The question is: What can you do to avoid future crashes.....? Avoid to activate the built-in Power Protection...

Beware Wookong-M fantastic deal with 50 waypoints!

The serial numbers and waypoint activation codes are stored in the Flight controller....that box where you connect all your ESC's, GPS and receiver. If you damage your Flight controller with waypoints activated, you have to send in the damaged unit to DJI China, and only then they will...

S800 clean build tips and info

Hi Louis Just start with a 3.4 V setting which is very "conservative".....after flying until the alarm goes off, just charge your LiPo and see how much you have to charge in. If there was enough mAh left, you can lower the setting in 0.1 steps....but not lower than 3.2 V. It's quite possible...

Flexacopter -----The Making of an octocopter "KRATOS"-----

Very nice......love it. Just a few questions: Would it be possible to make that part, where the DJI landing gear is attached , in black....? I am talking about this one: I guess, in case I want to fit a Zenmuse to the Kratos, the space underneath the LiPo cage will not be enough, meaning...
