    Halloween Contest - with Prizes!

I don't have a forum and have no intention of starting one. As it is, I barely have time for my blog at the moment due to work commitments. I haven't made a single penny from my blog and am not doing it for commercial gain. I had hoped that I might get a few bucks from the hobbyking affiliate...

    Halloween Contest - with Prizes!

I hope that people are busy building, because there's not much time left to go. I'm also going to throw in a lost model tracker from FMKit into the prize fund.

    F550 frame alternative?

Have you had a look at the frames on OMGFly.com, they have some really nice frames at good prices. The H.A.L. looks like junk to me and I would stay well clear.

    Here's a link to a review of the RX100 http://www.dpreview.com/previews/sony-dsc-rx100 and here's a link to a video filmed with it: http://vimeo.com/45682834

Flight Times - Turnigy nano-tech versus Zippy compact

About 16 degrees Celcius. Winter is on its way here, so no chance of doing any tests in warm temperatures for a long time, but will be doing some sub zero tests when it gets a bit colder.

    Sony CX730/740/760 info centre

A bit off topic, but is anyone using the RX100? I've read some really good reviews about this camera and I've seen some very impressive videos taken with one, but not yet seen any aerial footage using an RX100.

Flight Times - Turnigy nano-tech versus Zippy compact

From the responses that I've been getting about this test, it seems that I'm not the only one that's found that the zippy batteries are outperforming the nano-tech's.

RC Shutter for Sony CX730, CX760 and other compatible sony camcorders

The cx740 is a really great camera for aerial video. It's good to know that professional production companies are able to use footage shot with this camera to produce a great end result. Here's some footage that my friend shot using a cx740...

Someone should introduce these guys to multirotors!

I can never understand how it's actually easier to get a licence to do this with a real copter than it is with a multicopter that weighs less than 10kg???

Flight Times - Turnigy nano-tech versus Zippy compact

Well, if we ignore what the label says about capacity and just compare 2 batteries that have very similar size and weight, the cheaper battery outperforms the more expensive one by 30%. We're going to repeat the test with a few different batteries to see if the results are repeatable.

Flight Times - Turnigy nano-tech versus Zippy compact

Do you not think that people would be interested to know that a $40 battery outperforms a $50 battery by 30%? I've posted one thread about a competition that I thought other members might be interested in and this thread because again I thought they might be interested to know the information...

Flight Times - Turnigy nano-tech versus Zippy compact

My friend did a little test for me today and I've posted the results on my blog here: http://drone-pilot.blogspot.fr/2012/...y-compact.html Is anyone else using the Zippy compact batteries? I think I just got sucked in by the nano-tech marketing and didn't even notice the Zippy compacts on the...

    Halloween Contest - with Prizes!

I'm building one to entertain the kids this Halloween. Not much progress so far and didn't want to make it too scary.

    Halloween Contest - with Prizes!

Wow, that is good! I hope they enter it. Actually, at this point I hope anyone enters otherwise I won't have a competition. I guess it's a bit early to be expecting to see any entries yet though, given that I only announced it less than a week ago.

    Halloween Contest - with Prizes!

Hi Bart, I've only just started with my blog, so it's necessary to include beginner type info to attract new readers, but I have plans for quite a few more articles that might take it off in different directions, in which case it might not end up being so relevant if I was to host it here...
