Have you thought about a DJI Phantom? Slightly over $1000 and it comes with everything but the prop balancer. If I had it to do over that is the route I would have taken, rather than end up spending $4000.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but with only six channels you cannot use all the functions of the Naza. You need 5 channels and one three position switch for basic functionality. (Cyclic control and flight mode). This does not include IOC, or gimbal control for which you need another...

I have a 650 hex, and mine have a 20mm clearance. Clearance was determined by using the largest prop (12") without hitting each other.

We've had a lot of evolutionary changes over the three years I hav been doing this. Would be nice to know if some revolutionary technology comes along either in flight controllers or camera (including accessories and post production software) that will be a real game changer.

Yes, I use the GoPro to record the video, and view the picture through a ten inch monitor on the ground. I use an Immersion TX, which also provides a lot of telementary data as well as the picture. I think most of the video transmitters out there provide telemetry info.

First question do the leds light on the video tx & vr? On my video screen I had to set the frequency type between vr and monitor. Until I tripped across this all I had was static. The other thing is that camera needs to be filming (On my black 3), not just turned on.

I did not see a switch for return to home. I use 9 - 4 to fly, RTH 1, GPS, attti, manual, 1 course / home lock, 1 - pan, and to calibrate Naza gains 1.

If your using a Naza, you cannot use 3S, or 4s interchangeabley. The Naza needs to be setup for the battery voltage.

Maybe this is dumb question, but what did your contract stipulate? Maybe a point to consider in you next job.

Don't forget the props. Depending on the battery you go with will determine the diameter. Knowing what I know now, 4s would be ny choice.

In my experience after turning off the failsafe on the Naza lite and V2, control will be regained in either atti. or manual mode. I cannot speak to GPS mode as I have not experienced it.
