Here is a recent video I put together for some clients in Virginia Beach. Filmed using a Phantom 3 for aerials and a Panasonic GH4/MOVI M5 for handheld shots.

Looks like the pilot of the incident is David Quinones of SkyCamUSA. Someone should have a talk with him.
I find that in some cases higher voltage can produce more heat if paired with the wrong motor and ESC. If the motor is too powerful and has to run at a low throttle percentage, then the ESC is more likely to run hot because the FETs on the ESC are off more and the motor generates more heat in...
There is no reason why 5s can't lift 12kg. Since you are running 5s vs. 6s, you would just need to find a motor that is the middle of the road kv. I would suggest 400 - 500 kv and something that will put out 3KG of thrust at that voltage. The T-Motor MN4120 465kv motor would put you in this...
I seem to remember having similar issues with channels 13 and 14. I think I had intermittent luck using it to turn on or off the HDMI converter. I ended up unplugging the channel. I do use one of the channels with my shutter release switch. You should be in pretty good shape with 12 channels...
Yes, I converted it into X8. I just bought different motor mounts to allow for coax arrangement and used 4 arms. I am using the RC Timer Legacy Gimbal. It isn't perfect by any means, but I am getting jello free shots. I ran both of the videos above through Virtual Dub - Deshaker. It hurts...
Adding to the Bryharv situation.
Simulating an octo weighing maybe 30lbs. I expect my current draw to be around 100 amps average for hover. Divide that by 8 motors and I arrive at 12.5 amps for my target amp draw.
We ran the U7 490kv on 6s, 12.5 amps and 16" prop for 5 minutes. The...
I have 8x ProTek 6400mah 70C hard case packs.
I received them in a package purchase, but I don't have a use for them. They look brand new.
I am asking for $75 each.
Make me an offer.
While I haven't used the shutter release from the link above, I used the same shutter release cable and switch that I use on the GH1, GH2, GH3 with the Gh4. I would expect it to work.
I have used the Tarot 1000 and it is very sturdy. I use it in X8 configuration and have flown it with 30lb. all up weight. I can give it a thumbs up. I owned a hex Carbon Core and I felt like it wasn't sturdy enough for big cameras.
