The key reason why I can't do this is that there is only a single connection between the receiver and the NAZA controller. In order to save weight I'm using a very simple Orange R410X receiver and a single servo wire in PPM mode. So you can't solve the problem by cross connecting multiple...
I probably didn't explain my problem very well but in order to save weight I'm attempting to connect in PPM mode - which uses only a single wire to connect the receiver to the Naza flight controller. The information about each channel is sent in serial mode - one after another - rather than in...
I'm trying to save weight on my Lumenier QAV250 framed project but can't figure out how to get the above receiver to provide the information my Naza V2 needs - specifically the "U" (Gear signal). No matter how I configure the switches on my DX8, the Naza receives only throttle, rudder...
... and I am deeply impressed by the quality of the components and the detailed instruction manual. You can immediately see that you are dealing with an organisation that has been designing, manufacturing and selling complex R/C products for a good many years.
If I can get the day job done I...
Hi Bruce,
Are you able to recommend any motors which would work better with 12" prop and Aimdroix arms - I'm thinking of going down this route myself .....

I am ready to make my first Ground Station controlled flight. After nearly a year of building and flying quads and hexacopters by radio control, I have to confess, I'm nervous of giving up direction of the aircraft to a set of instructions from an iPad.
I've installed and tested the datalink...
Why don't you just set the camera to shoot continuously at preset intervals throughout the flight using an intervalometer? Many cameras have this feature built in. Memory cards are cheap, flights are relatively short. I set my Sony NEX to take a shot every three seconds.
I'm just about to upgrade the controller in my Phantom to a Naza v2. Has anyone also upgraded the standard Phantom GPS unit / compass for the unit supplied with the Naza V2? Is it possible? Worthwhile? Did you remove it from its case and fit inside the Phantom or on the supplied carbon fibre pole?
