Doesn't the wind just blow through it like a tunel , what results did you get once you put it in that enclosure ? Other imu I have seen looks like it is fully inclosed

Well, now I can use my 14mm pancake lens without jitter. Thats the different. also try experiment with P & D setting.

It might work. I have experience using double tape with less rubber/ sponge double tape more effective to absorb vibration. I can set higher gain on simple bgc sofware

I have made progress to the point where I have usable video from my DJI S800 ; no small task, but I have just about eliminated vibration and this thing is flying great. I see a few little micro bounces in ffw, and I think I can tighten up the dampers on the mount just a bit. I would like to know where you all think I should go with my PID / PWM, and more importantly I need suggestions on camera settings for my NEX 5n- 18/55 lens. Let me know what you think.

I am loving this gimbal! Unfortunately, I am having some "hunting" issues while the gimbal is flying. On the bench everything is solid. When flying, the gimbal is searching in the pitch axis. I also have a receiver controlling the board in Pitch. Maybe this is a vibration or Power setting issue? Also, does anyone have PID settings for NEX5 with the 16mm lens. Thanks :)

Well... took forever, but here you go.

3rd axis upgrade, taking order, starting to ship this Wednesday.

210.00 with motor, hardware and ViaCopter expansion board.

Features:
- Add 20mm of height to over all gimbal
- About 180grams total
- Motor will have added collar+C-clip on the bottom to support weight.
- Included IMU cable only work with ViaCopter board, so make sure you have ViaCopter board (if not, please contact us for further instruction).
- Iflight 4114-120t motor with ezo bearings.
- You will need to reuse old top plate, will include a template so you can drill the top four hole to mount onto the motor.

Included:
- All hardware
- ViaCopter 3rd axis expansion
- IMU cable
- 4114 motor

Required:
- 3 and 4mm drill bit
- Some drilling

Hi Maxis,

As long as you have the Black board, that used connector for the IMU wire, then yes. Otherwise you going to have to do some work on soldering and jumper.

So I think I finally solved the only issue I've ever had with this gimbal, so I wanted to share.

I fly with the 16mm pancake lens, and I was never able to get the hdmi cable to fit since they all seem to be so wide that they hit the side of the motor. CNC Helicopter just put out a new HDMI converter that has the cable built in with a very small right angle. I don't know 100% yet that it will work, but I don't see any physical reason why it shouldn't. I have one on order and will let you know when it's tested.

Did you ask them if this is Pal or NTSC? I saw the HobbyWing one, but it said Pal only, NTSC will get blue screen... not sure if it will work? We were going to carry it, but waiting for the one that can do both.

Yes, that's the ViaCopter board, you're good.

How about the VX5N that i got from you last March(board is dark blue,i think its came from CSG Shop), Can i use the 3rd axis expansion?
