Recommended Li-Poly Batteries and Charger/conditioner etc.

I am building a Flamewheet F550 and have a new Futaba 8FG.... still waiting for my WK-M to arrive. In the meantime I need to purchase Li-Po batteries and appropriate charger/conditioner system. Since I intend to eventually get an S800 it seems to me that I should purchase a battery charger/conditioner to handle the range of batteries between 4S and 6S (6S for the S800). Can someone make some suggestions on what is best fit-for-purpose here? I hear good things about the Hyperion batteries but not sure about the chargers/conditioners!

Also noticed that many members include a standard e-signature at the end of their postings proudly listing their multirotor equipment...... how is that done on this forum?

Hi Peter

To include a foot note (e-signature) in your postings is pretty simple: just click here (you have to be logged in) : http://www.multirotorforums.com/usercp.php

On the left side you see : My Messages, My Subscriptions and My Settings...In My Settings you choose Edit Signature....and you are done.

Since I had a lot of different chargers and was not really happy with one of them, I decided to toss all the stuff to ebay and get some decent stuff:

I got 2 of these: http://www.rcmarket.org/Power-Peak-Twin-EQ-BID-1000W.html ...the cool feature about this charger is that you can operate it with BID chips: http://www.rcmarket.org/BID-CHIP.html
The BID-Chip is a little (12mm x 14 mm x 3 mm) chip which you glue on every LiPo. It stores all you settings (you set it just once) for that specific LiPo for charging. If you want to charge that LiPo, just connect the LiPo to the charger, connect the BID chip and press start....that's all.

To juice up the Power-Peak-Twin-EQ-BID-1000W I got myself 2 of this: http://www.skyrc.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=128

With that setup I am well set for the next couple of years....

In general you should look for a charger with two outlets up to 6S each, and an external power supply.....you also get chargers with internal power supply, but in general they have less charging power.

PowerLab or icharger would be my pick on that one.
Lipos will be a free for all toss up on brands...etc

Pick up an iCharger 306B and 24V power supply (you can't reach the full potential of the charger with a 12V supply). Progressive RC (www.progressiverc.com) has combo deals where you can get the charger, PS and a case in one shot.
