DC power supply

Hi guys!

If i choose a FMA PowerLab 6 1000W do i have to choose a DC power supply of 1000w and 30v to take full advantage of the charger or could it be less and it ok to have full range of the charger?

to take full advantage of the charger, you need 24 volt and around 1200 watt to cover the chargers loss and overhead. You'll need power supplies that can be ran in series or 24 volt supply. A real PS will run $400 or more. i went with the Dell server power supplies with the server supply mod. all it did was isolate the pcb from the chargers exterior using plastic washers and bolts in place of the metal ones it came with. once that's done, the two can be connected in series. less than $40

There are 2 versions of this power supply. (The 12volt-575w & 24 volt-1000+w)
I picked this up "based on price" as mentioned, & I'm not utilizing the PL6 full potetial at this time.
