GPS Logging & Telemetry - How?

Planning a F450 build and looking at what to order. I'd like to be able to log the GPS data and combine with Google Maps and DashWare, so a couple of questions:

1. Does the NAZA and GPS log GPS data? If so how do you download it?

2. Should I get the Specktrum DX8 with the T1000 telemetry module as this has S-BUS and in July Spektrum are releasing a GPS module to connect to it. Again does this log data and how do you get to it? (seems a bit bulkly to add the T1000 and the Spektrum GPS module if already running the NAZA GPS addon)

3. Just use a i-GotU GPS logger (or similar) attached to the F450 - anyone doing this?

4. Any other ideas? What are people on here doing to log GPS, different Tx/Rx options?

Thanks all. Just don't want to spend ££'s and i not do what I want, also concerned about weight and battery drain.

I dont think the naza has a commercially available gps data download facility. I am sure they have one at the factory.

Hi,

I am using a Graupner MX-20 with my F450 and Naza/GPS setup. This MX-20 has telemetry as standard and with the addition of the Graupner GPS add on to the Rx it will download all flight information to the Transmitters SD memory card for each flight. It is a shame there is no standard interfacing for the DJI units as there is with the Mikrokopoter systems.

to do what your asking is in the fpv OSD's like eagle tree, EZosd, Dragonlink OSD, and probably a few others. each of them would have to be put together except ezosd by immersion. The others need seperate parts that add up like gps module, barometric altimiter if you want real heights for the 3d map of what you flew. with a video transmitter and a unit like eagle eyes by Eagle Tree it shows it real time, EZ OSD has an iphone app for live readouts, dragon osd has something similar.

The easiest way to buy something like that is from Readymaderc, they come in kits with wire looms, everything you need in one easy to open priority box for 1 click like this

i'm not sure why mines not, but it is suppose to log 3d gps to show height too. theres a play button that shows you the entire track like a animation
