Mikrokopter No telemetry reading after takeoff

When I plug in my mikrokopter and intialize it I get a voltage reading on my DX8 but after it's airborne it's gone.

I have a Spektrum DX8 and its TM1000
Mikrokopter FC 2.1 running .84a
A CineStar6 and a Cinestar gimbal lifting a t2i
the satellite receiver is soldered directly to the bottom side of the flight control
the tm1000 is plugged into servo5 on flight ctrl with the voltage sensors soldered to the distro board
the nick servo is plugged into servo1 on flightctrl
the roll servo is plugged into servo2 on flight ctrl
the shutter cable is plugged into the recom on flight ctrl
the navi control is connected by 6 and 10 pin ribbon cord
the xbee is connected to the debug on the navi board
the gps through molex to navi board

When I unplug the gimbal servos this doesn't happen.
I'm guessing that the FC is underpowered and shutting the TM1000 down.
I ordered a BEC and am going to power the gimbal servos from another source.

I have a few questions:
Anybody have any idea what is causing this?
Should I power the servos off the distro board, i'm powering it with a 6200 4cell, or should i use the battery i'm using for video tx which is 1000 3 cell?
Should i toss the molex cable between the FC and Distro and hard wire them?

Thanks you, Nick

I would definitely power servos from a separate source like the castle creations bec... I have now done away with the molex cable and faffy little plugs as use the miniature Deans connectors rather than hard wire.. The miniatures come in two and four pole versions.. I cant comment on the DX8 and MK so I would listen to Jeff as he has shed loads of experience with them..

Dave - Thanks for the tip on the mini-deans. I'll be making a trip to the hobby shop tomorrow.
