Aeronavics / Droidworx AV130 with GH4

So it 'just' fits for anybody interested!

Obviously this set up is only suitable for stills.

The strap hanger on the left side of the camera body prevents perfect balance but I think I'll see if I can remove that.

I found that those strap lugs also catch on the AV130 frame and prevent tilting more than a few degrees

I would have done but the owner would not have been pleased ;-)

They seem to be bonded very securely to the body skeleton under the covering.

If I buy a GH4 I'll have a closer look at the options cut or pull, not sure which is going to be required.

I put a driver through mine just now and applied some leverage. They seem very tight so it might be a dremmel job!

That's what I suspected.

Before cutting them, it could be worth emailing panasonic support to see if they can provide any info on removal of the lugs, or clarify if they are bonded, screwed in or even part of the frame..

Jim, FYI I put a hex driver through them, applied pressure and they both failed where they attach to the body. The GH4 fits perfectly on the AV130 now! I have had some great results with stills.

... and I bet you were holding your breath while doing so :)

Matt, Would it be possible to post a pic of the casing where the lugs detached please? I'm curious to see the condition after removal, clean or otherwise.
