Hey guys.

I was frustrated with my Av200 so i started to tune my Hexacopter and gimbal.

I had to film a house and i am pretty happy with my results (compared to my old ones)...not perfect but i see a light at the end of a looooooooooong tunnel :)

What do you think? I would appreciate ur opinion :)

Can a brushless gimbal do a better job?

Greetings from Austria

Steve

Steve looks like you got your set-up pretty good. The brushless age is new and everybody it seems to swapping over to them. It says something right?

thx for reply. You are absolutely right...but i havent seen a bl gimbal for bigger slrs (and red epic) for a good price. Zenmuse and Halo Gimbal are good, but for that price i dont see any reason to switch.

Looks steady but your flying is not really testing it much. Most gimbals do fine in windless conditions just hovering around. I hope your end video wasn't 1 long unedited clip like this.

I have a zenmuse, and it was expensive and painful to shell out the cash. But, it just works... great... every single time. So i'd do it again. That being said wait to see how the Besteady and the A10 look in the air, they may end up being a better option.

there out there!! numerous are upgrading there cinestar gimbals with conversion kits
like these for example

http://brushlessgimbals.com/

http://www.iflight-rc.com/product/

http://www.dronetuner.com/index.php...&route=product/product&path=90&product_id=268

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/group/Brushless-Gimbal-and-parts/109347_211308012.html

http://www.besteady.pro/.

still these are very new tech only been around for 4months or so. good luck

Good to see conversion kits for Cinestar gimbals, but what about Photohigher kits?

Av200/130 kits would raise the turnover of photohigher... but there is nothing right Now :upset:

I seriously doubt you will see brushless conversion kits come from Photohigher. They have a new company and website for their brushless gimbals http://www.halofilmsystems.com
If they do come up with a conversion kit that would be great for the old users however the really ugly reality is that being a small company the return on putting energy in to a conversion kit is not worth it compared to the return on continuing to develop the new systems.
I doubt that conversion kits would raise the turn over significantly enough for them to divert their energies away from the future they have in front of them with respect to the Halo systems. The AV130 and AV200 products/systems are products of 3 years or more in age and coming to the end of their life cycle. Still perfectly good for stills work.

Definitely NOT in the right place... Owen is a character on a BBC show called "Torchwood".
