My CC board arrived in the mail yesterday, last night I mounted it on the frame and started the initial setup. Everything went well until I got to the firmware load, thats when the problems started. I went through several cycles of trying to get to the point of being able to boot the board after the firmware load with no success. After a couple tries I found that closing the GCS and reopening got me to the next setup step but it seemed each time I'd complete a step I couldn't progress beyond that with out closing GCS and restarting. When I got to radio calibration I just could not get it to work at all.
I tried unloading GCS and reloading, same thing. Next step I loaded GCS on my Netbook and finally was able to get things working correctly, apparently something on my big laptop doesn't play nice with GCS. Not surprising, the laptop is 3 years old and has gone through Xp to Vista to Win7 upgrades plus has enough software loaded to fill the system drive and spill over into the second.
Eventually I was able to complete the setup, arm the board and see the motors spin but it took significanly longer than the 10 minutes in the setup video!
As soon as I get back to the house in about an hour or so I'll see if it wants to fly.
