Well Andrew from hexacrafter has released his brushless gimbal.. Arrived in post yesterday so thought I would do a build thread here for all to see..

Looking as cool as HC650 frame.. Excellent instructions and like a cool meccano kit for adults.. So looking forward to building and tweaking this baby.. And the final part getting some smooth results..

Vin buddy, post some pics of her. After all this mumbo-jumbo about the bl's and looking at all of them that I can find the HC bl gimbal looks to be about the most solid in design, so far. Some of these I have seen with minimal construction I just don't get, ( the new HK design comes to mind ). To me, they appear like the frame design itself would induce vibs with only one arm to the side, not to mention not fair well in a mishap, ( if there is such a thing as one that does ).

Will do Tom, planning to show whole build.. Andrew at hexacrafter has done another wicked setup here strong and adaptable for upgrading as well.. She can take different motors should the user want to use them. Rigid but light and strong again like the frames you don't want to keep shelling out for new designs as the brushless gimbals come out more and more.. You can have single arm to make it lighter on the others as you say but the negative part of having small and light is these are planted on the front of the frame we all have knocks and the gimbal and landing gear is the first to take it.. Hence this is why this baby will not only do its job but will take a knock or two should it happen.. Pics coming soon, as starting build this evening.. This is all new too me so ill be doing it little by little to make sure I get this spot on.. I've seen this baby work and its so smooth..

Clear instructions and just well made and designed..

Getting more height on the landing gear so I can do those funky camera facing down lift off shots lol...

Yep.. he is the man. Glad to be teaming up. That desert rat shoot was pretty fun until the 50 mph sand storm hit! Good luck with the build.

Build is coming along very nice.. Very strong piece of kit and well engineered and finished quality. Having the ability to change the motors if needed is a real bonus. All that is needed are the motor adapters and hay presto job done.. Think I spent two hours building this last night at most.. Need to add the AlexMoss and tweak over the next few days.. Wahoo could I have it ready for the weekend??
