Hey Guys.

Since most of the Quads weighs in a range of 1.2-1.5 kgs. So i would like to know that what are the appropriate motors available to lift that much of weight.

Any experienced advice......?:confused::confused:

Flycam 925's http://www.kkmulticopter.kr/index.h...pter&sc_selected=Motor&sn=flycam_925&id_no=45

800 gram thrust 10 by 4.5 prop on 3S
1300 gram thrust on 4S

work out what your required watts are, 1.5 kg will need 200 to 250 watts to hover, or 62 watts per motor, so you really want a motor that can handle 2-3 times that (120-180 watts)

Your next choice is kv, but thats not straight cut - two 900 kv motors on paper will respond diferently, depends on magnet count, winding size, stator diameter.........
but pretty much aim for 700 to 1000 kv, and adjust prop size to get the desired thrust

cool motors, but weigh 105 grams for 1400 gram thrust, and on 4S the flycams at 50 grams do 1300 grams thrust.

I'll second the Flycam motors, I have 8 of them on my X8 which weighs in at roughly 3.2 kgs RTF or a bit over 7 lbs in nonmetric measure.

Hey Mat,

Would you recommend the RC Cams as a direct replacement for my RC Timer 750kv's that I'm running on my tricopter? I'm using the 25-30 HK SS ESC's. I feel a little underpowered at times and don't think these things things match up to well to each other, depending on when you bought them. The same motors from different orders will perform much differently and I would like to avoid that with my next motor set.
