Aeronavics / Droidworx SKYJIB 8 v2 SUPER LIFT - 4120 w/16in Props

Hello All,

So I decided to order up all the baddest of all multi-rotors, the SkyJib 8 w/retracts, AXI 4120 motors and 15inch props on 6s or 16inch props on 5s.

The build was incredibly simple and the manual is spot on. The only thing i changed is the top of the SkyJib. Since i mostly fly in a 2man fpv configuration, I need more places to mount things like my video antenna, gps antenna, dragon link antenna, etc...

The FCB is the HoverFly Pro w/ the HoverFly GPS
Camera gimbal is the Photohigher AV200

The maiden flight might come tomorrow and if so ill try and get some video of it.

nice.... what kv are those motors? arent you in colorado? if so, do you loose alot of power being at elevation?

Hi Lanzar,

Im pretty sure the 16in props will fit just fine. Right now with the 15in props there is 1 1/2inches of space between the blades so the 16's should be just fine. I have a Skyjib 6 v1 and it can handle the 15in props just fine with 1/2in spacing between the blades.

Hi Kloner,

I have both 4120/20 and 4120/14. The 14's are on the octo and the 20's are on the hexa. I do loose some power when im flying at higher elevations but since i always over power my systems they seem be fine.

here is a behind the scene video from the reality show "Prospectors". I was flying my multi at 14,000agl over a mountain and although the multi was a little sluggish, everything worked out.

This video is with my small y6 (2820/14 motors and 13x6.5 props)
