I still have 7 helies, three of which I still fly including a Compass 700. About 7 years ago I spent a year crashing and mostly rebuilding smaller helies learning to fly. I had never done any RC flying! Sure helped when drones came along, they are easy to fly ! Setup a 550 heli I still have, to fly fpv but learned about jello in video real quick. Built a QAV540G and still have and fly it on regular basis. Can fly it out long range, like 2 miles. Got a little racer from Canada and stuffed Vector on it to mimic system on the QAV. Then got Vortex 285 and learned I am too old to ever race competitively but like flying it. Got an Indructrix to race in house and flat love it.
I do a lot of traveling and judge at sailing events so after a lot of looking at what I have and nitch I wanted to fill, bought a Karma and used GoPro Hero5 I had on it. The system works much better than reviews would tell you but it is not a Mavic that I did fly before making decision, but the Karma perfectly more than fills need I have (remember I have upgraded QAV540G with antenna tracking ground station, etc) plus the Karma Grip works very well, and in in package so Hero 5 for a lot less than a Mavic.
