Yeah, I don't want to make a huge investment. What's the diff between a regular flight controller and a micro one? Thanks

There shouldn't be any difference. I think the regular one will fit in a 250 frame just fine.

Last question: I know that a 6ch receiver must be used, but I only have a 4ch transmitter bound to it. Will it work? Thanks

I believe so. 4 ch's is the minimum for a multirotors, Throttle, aileron, elevator, rudder.
