So I got to try something fun this weekend... indoor FPV with my tricopter. My fiance is an Art teacher and I got access to the gym this weekend. I was the only one there and ran a few batteries trimming and tuning the copter, then ran a couple with the goggles on. I was pretty scared to hit the walls or ceiling so I was mostly just scuttling around near the floor, but I think it really helped learn what I see through the camera compared to your real view. The gym has lines painted on the floor (basketball court) so I was able to gauge how far away I was from things and get a better perception of the view through the goggles.
I captured some video of the FPV flights, but they are pretty boring to watch tbh. Here is another video I did in the gym just flying LOS.
